The Perlan Museum here is a MUST visit. Just pay the full ticket price ISK 4500 ish and thank us later! You will learn SO much in Iceland during your time there. The exhibitions are well done and very informative. Even if you're not a fan of museums, I still highly recommend a visit, you will Not be bored. Worth every penny and time spent!
Went to the Wonders of Iceland exhibit at Perlan with the Ice Cave - so fun! Way more realistic than I thought it would be, and a great alternative to the real thing when the real thing is "out of season". Kids would love it!
The museum is having renovations done so we went for the restaurant, unfortunately the system that makes the dome spin wasn't working but we still had a lovely meal and drinks. The view of the city and the area around it is amazing
The pearl was having some refurbishment where the restaurant used to be when we visited but it was still worth seeing. It's free to go in and there's a cafe at the top and a 360 degree platform outside where you can see so much beauty . The pearl is also the place we walked to one clear night to catch the northern lights . It's on a hill above the city and we was lucky enough to see the incredible show in the sky 💕
was under renovation and not one interesting fact or person to tell us about the place was posted. We had lunch at the top and left. That is the thing about all of the attractions, not much time or energy put into details or explainations of the attraction.
Great views if it is clear. Otherwise, there is nothing really here, although there is a new exhibit under construction, to open later in 2017. Note that even if it is clear in the city, it might be fogged over on the hill.
The staff at the hotel was top-notch. Nadjia, in particular, was helpful with restaurant suggestions and her recommendation to visit Perlan (The Pearl) was one of our best experiences. Breakfast was very good and the location was wonderful!
