Loved the amazing friendly and helpful  staff, who gave us good advice and discussions. Great location in central Gion in a quiet street but walking distance to almost anything.  Great variety and range of eating places and the river close by and of course as many temples as you need with cool peaceful gardens as well as museums. Nishiki Market is a short bus ride or interesting 20min walk.  The room was beautiful and fully equipped incl a small kitchenette, electric blackout curtains and lots of tech Breakfasts were copious and varied to suit most tastes, best scrambled egss in Japan. Amazingly bestiful designer chairs in a little sitting area and free laundry room was an unexpected bonus!

The room was fabulous and was a large size compared to others we had stayed in Japan. We loved the room’s day lounge, the bathroom/shower facilities and the coffee in the lobby the best. We loved the location beside the canal and river, and that we could walk leisurely to many key Kyoto attractions or get a train to them from very close by.
