Perfect place to stay in Nara. The location was great, the rooms were traditional and the the staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about the local area. Got to do calligraphy and origami for free during the day.

hot spring water made my skin soft. breakfast was good. staffs were kind. location is good. I enjoyed free ramen, ice bar and massage chairs ♡ I recommend this hotel. you are supposed to take yr shoes off in the lobby for the tatami mat. fresh experience kkk

Great location, with a nice view. Close to starbucks which was great for us haha. Nara Park was also close so wasn't too far to see some dear. The families were great, Staff were amazing and very friendly and explained to us the hotel facilities well. They also have chickens that you can pet.

The room was huge and fantastic. It was a real traditional Japanese experience. We had a tea ceremony on arrival, the baths were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. It is a really special place and one that our kids will definitely remember.

Japanese style hotel right above Starbucks, overlooking the pond, a short walk from Nara Park, Naramachi town, and the famous Mochi place. It's the best for exploring the town area which is beautiful and charming, old historical shops, restaurants, crafts shop, sweet shops, etc. The room was so spacious, and serene. The bathroom was nice and spacious! They have a lounge with drinks, tea, coffee, miso soups. The public bath was clean, spacious, and beautiful.

Truly a “Comfy Stay”. Largest room of our 3 weeks in Japan, well appointed, spotlessly clean, robes. Terrific central location for exploring Naramachi. Check in was smooth. Lots of amenities including loan of chargers, hair curlers and dryers, games, assortment of teas and coffees AND a fridge full of water and juice at no charge. The window in our room opened which was most welcomed. Highly recommend!!

The room was japanese style, very pleasant with an attractive common area and a well equppie shower and toilet facilities , a small common kitchen. Easy access to Nara park , a medium lenght walk of about 15-20 min . Walk from the station is 10 min, access to the Naramachi old town is about 10 min walking. Hotel-like services are not available

Located a few hundred metres from Kintestsu-Nara Station, and the loop bus stop. Historical Naramachi town is walking distance from this hotel. Loved the scrambled eggs included in the breakfast buffet. Our room was modern and immaculately clean.

This is a very cute traditional japanese house in a busy street, making us feel in a protected bubble. The guest house is well equipped with a kitchen and living room, the rooms are big with a lot of space. Everything was great. You are a good 20 minute walk from Nara Park and Naramachi, but pretty close to any transportation

The guesthouse was homey and comfortable. There is a communal table to eat dinner, breakfast etc rather than any lounging areas. I opted in for Junko's delicious breakfast and it was excellent. The house was located very near the Nara Hotel and Naramachi. It was atmospheric and away from the crowds.

HARUYA Naramachi is a lovely guesthouse in old Japan character and it has new rooms built with traditional feel (tatame mats flooring) also available to book at the rear of the property. An exceptional place, great location and staff.

Friendly staff in a clean and quiet ryokan style hotel right next to Naramachi, central Nara, and the park. The rooms were nice with a tatami area as well as a little reading space next to the windows overlooking the pond.
