As a solo traveller I booked the small double room for single occupancy on the ladies only floor and absolutely loved it - very comfortable room, quiet and super clean. I especially loved that the heating wasn't centrally controlled like in many Japanese hotels, which can feel like being in a sauna, and I was able to sleep comfortably without overheating :)

One of the best places I stayed during my trip. Great staff, everyone was very helpful with everything. The location is a few minutes walking distance from the station, so I used a taxi to get there from my other location (recommended for people with more luggage). The rooms were spacious and were able to fit everything comfortably. Everything was clean, wifi worked great. I especially loved the room wear provided, it was really comfortable. The bathroom was quite spacious, especially the shower, which i appreciated. They helped me call a taxi when leaving as well. Overall a great experience as a solo traveler. Definitely would stay again.

Room is bigger than others, neat and clean.

The staff were extremely helpful and catered to all our needs very quickly. The location was fantastic too. So close to the train station and shops and restaurants. I hugely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants close proximity to trains and shops.

The staff is really friendly and helped us a lot. It is placed really close to Ikebukuro station and has many interesting places nearby. The facilities are perfect.

The location is not far from Otsuka station and sunshine city building. 7-11 is opposite the hotel. The room is clean and not too small. All staff are nice.

The hotel is conveniently situated in spitting distance to Sunshine city. Ikebukuro Sunshine dori and train station are approx. 10 minutes away. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quite small (as to be expected in central Tokyo for this room charge) but it provided everything you will need. The walls are thick and neither the street outside nor the aircon disturbed my sleep. The rooftop bath (at least the one for the men) was well maintained, clean and simply gorgeous. You could check the current occupation via your room‘s tv, which was a nice gimmick. The breakfast had a lot to offer. Mostly Chinese and Sino-Japanese cuisine, but also western dishes. Small free amenities like coffee and late night ramen completed an awesome stay. Definitely the best stay in this price range I had so far in Tokyo. Will come again!

Our studio was amazing, we could see that the hosts put a lot attention to detail into this place. We had a great bathroom with nice shower, had enough space to hang our clothes and store our luggage. We had everything we needed to have meals in the studio, with a fridge, microwave and dishes. There was a sofa, and a small table with stool, which was very convenient. We walked around 10 mins to Otsuka station, where you can take the Yamanote line or walked around 15 mins to another station to take the subway. The neighborhood is very calm and we had two convenient stores very close. We enjoyed our stay and can only recommend!

The location is right outside of the ikebukuro station and a real short walk from the east exit. a few meters from lots of stuff like the sunshine mall, donquijote, and more! The room was better than other places i have been to as a budget traveler but unfortunately there was no microwave in the actual room but there was one in the lobby which wasn't a big problem. Staff was also very amazing and helped me with any/all questions i had

When I booked this place, there was only one review posted on Booking, so it felt a bit like a gamble. No worries: this was only because the place had just opened a few weeks prior. The appartment is absolutely perfect on all counts: comfort, location, staff. Truly a gem!

Great location very close to the station. In the vicinity, there are many restaurants to choose from and even a retro arcade. The room was large enough for 2 and perfect if all you need is a place to sleep for the night.

We had an amazing stay at Luce. Location is perfect for tokyo: near a lot of konbini, supermarkets, restaurants and also at a 7 min walk to the ikebukuro station. The room we stayed in was one of the best I've been to in this area. It has everything you need and is quite big for two people. That tatami room with the futon was so comfortable! The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. We arrived a little earlier than the agreed check-in time and tried to enter the room but regretfully interrupted the cleaning lady who was working (that's on us) but everything resolved quickly and she let us leave our luggage there while we waited until it was ready. Will definitely repeat in the future!

The staff is very friendly to foreigners. The room was quite clean and had everything you need to be comfortable. There was also a washing machine and SPA in the upstairs area, as well as a small machine to exchange 1000 yen notes for 100 yen coins for use in the washing machine.

Very quiet & spacious area to stay

The hotel location is perfect - train/subway station and stores are very close by. The staff was super helpful, we got free dessert in the room while visiting, the bathroom was huge. You can hear shinkansen passing through during the day and while some may find it disturbing, for me it was the part of experience. I could not hear it while sleeping. We got cleansers, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, all sorts of complimentary amenities.
