The room was authentic and very comfortable. There is an exhange machine at the recepion. Location is great and well connected by bus and other public transport. All staff were very friendly.

I loved the lounge. It was comforting to know that at any time, the lounge was there to provide food and drinks. I did the hot bath too and enjoyed it ! As well as the meditation room :) the staff were amazing. We will be back !

Incredible price for what was basically a small apartment

Attractively set in the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, insomnia KYOTO OIKE is situated 1.2 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, 1.5 km from Nijo Castle and 1.8 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto.

The room was spacious, really loved the design and the headboard detail 😻 the lobby has tons of cool books and magazines, games, vinyl, juice, coffee, croissants (free of charge) and even wine and beer dispenser ( around 500¥ per drink). The hotel offers free bikes! I wish we stayed a bit more here. Hope to visit the hotel next year!
