The hotel was spotless and perfectly located. We arrived late, and the staff’s warm gesture of giving our kids coins for their first gashapon was such a nice touch. We loved the Family Mart on the ground floor — great breakfast options and surprisingly delicious desserts! The direct connection to Sunshine Mall made shopping and eating effortless, though we wish we’d had more time to explore. We also discovered a bit too late that there’s an underground passage(near the sanrio cafe) that makes getting around even easier — a tip for future guests! It even have a travelator if you are too tired of walking.

Room is ok in size. Comfortable and clean. Wide range of amenities provided. Location is great. It is in a quiet neighbourhood but close to main shopping area. Friendly staff.

Location and it’s a new hotel

I saw many complaints about room size, but each description clearly states the square footage, so I booked a twin room and it was the best choice—the room felt very spacious. The staff was fantastic, spoke Portuguese with me, answered all my questions, and the doors have easy options to request cleaning or towel changes, which is very comfortable and intuitive. The location is fantastic—just steps from the metro. Being on a main avenue, ambulance noise is expected but didn’t impact my stay. Check-in and check-out were simple and efficient; I would stay here every time I visit Tokyo! I stayed five days and would gladly have extended it to ten.

Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The hotel is situated in a great neighbourhood with plenty of food options within walking distance. Staff were helpful and nice. I would reccomend this hotel to others and would not hesitate to stay again.

The hotel is so beautiful that it is a tourist site in itself, every corner of it is carefully designed and a pleasure to walk around. Furthermore, the garden and pool are also very beautiful, so the hotel has an additional value. The staff is very nice and very helpful. I felt like I was welcomed every time I arrived. I would like to note that the concierge services are great and her recommendations added a lot of value to our trip.

Mejiro Station is a fantastic secret place to stay in Tokyo. Right on the Yamanote Line in-between Shinjuku and Ikebukuro in a quiet residential enclave. The JR Hotel here has larger than average Tokyo rooms with a refined and comfortable fit out. Free coffee machine in the lobby, paid washing machines, microwave, ice machines and various bath salts and lotions all help make this a most convenient place to stay for 5 nights. Supermarket and restaurants are very close by. More choices and shopping one stop away at Ikebukuro Station, which is bigger and better than Shinjuku. Also Takadanobaba Station in the Shinjuku direction is a lively university area worth checking out for a casual meal. Because this JR Mets Mejiro and another JR property in Yamagata were both so good for us, JR Hotels will be the first we look for on our next Japan trip.

Such a unique little spot. So cool to jump in the sauna and then straight into bed (after a quick shower of course)! Everything seemed really clean and organised, with a huge variety of lovely cosmetics to use. Also, the staff were so helpful and quick to reply to questions and help in any way they could.

Good value for money, relatively large rooms for the price point and for Japan. There is a hot plate/bowls/microwave.
