The hotel was spotless and perfectly located. We arrived late, and the staff’s warm gesture of giving our kids coins for their first gashapon was such a nice touch. We loved the Family Mart on the ground floor — great breakfast options and surprisingly delicious desserts! The direct connection to Sunshine Mall made shopping and eating effortless, though we wish we’d had more time to explore. We also discovered a bit too late that there’s an underground passage(near the sanrio cafe) that makes getting around even easier — a tip for future guests! It even have a travelator if you are too tired of walking.

Ikebukuro is so convenient for transport, dining and shopping. There are several ways to access the hotel from Narita airport. It’s really not that far from Ikebukuro station even with suitcases about 15min walk. The hotel is quiet and away from the Main Street. One side is next to a freeway but it wasn’t disruptive to sleep. Soundproofing in rooms is good, we didn’t hear the elevator even though it was opposite our room. Hotel staff can help to send your luggage to the next hotel. We were worried about dust as other reviews mentioned but it wasn’t a problem for us. Beds are medium hardness

Location and it’s a new hotel

The staff was very friendly & helpful :)! My best friend and I struggle a bit with speaking Japanese, but the staff was capable of helping us anyway in English! The location is great, being next to the East exit of Ikebukuro station. Next to that, it's also a bit in the center of Ikebukuro, which means everything was rather close! Animate is only a 5-minute walk, whilst the Sunshine City mall is about 10-15 minutes by walking :). The room was of the needed size, though some guests might find it a bit smaller than what they are used to in the west, though it wasn't a problem for us! There's a Familymart directly connected to the hotel, which means you'd always have a way to get snacks no matter the time.

it was all great other than the bed and pillow are very hard; if you ask at reception, you can get a softer pillow...but it could be softer. The baths are great, and for the price, I think this hotel is excellent value for money, and I would certainly return.

Superb location! Just about 3 minutes from Ikebukuro station which is connected to the Yamanote line. There is a 7/11 on the ground floor and this hotel is well connected to the center of Ikebukuro. We got a room on the 9th floor overlooking the intersection. You can get food at any time of the day. Neighborhood is busy but quieter compared to Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc.

Everything was perfect, staff friendly, nice building and location

The rooms are very large for Japan. Honestly it was nice to be able to fit our luggage and walk around as well as an easy to connect to TV and adjustable lighting with a knob. Shower was very spacious. The owners are both lovely. It's a family ran business and they still do everything to accommodate you. I ran out of toilet roll at night and they went out of their way to bring me extra. Location is great. 10 mins from the Otsuka station and right next to a 7/11. I will be staying with them in the future.

Clean Room and decent amenities

Great location very close to the station. In the vicinity, there are many restaurants to choose from and even a retro arcade. The room was large enough for 2 and perfect if all you need is a place to sleep for the night.

This was a great value hotel in Ikebukuro. It is a love hotel and in the love hotel district so please expect this when you stay. I knew this when I booked but the value and large room size meant more to me than the hotel type. We were able to keep our key for the whole duration of our stay and were not asked to check out everyday. We were able to forward our luggage and store our luggage on the first day. Being a love hotel it is private and you do not see the receptionist due to the privacy aspect but everyone we spoke to was helpful and nice. The room is big, the bathroom is great and you get water, ice cream and toiletries. It was less than a 10 minute walk to Ikebukuro station which was good for us as we travelled around every day. There is a Lawson at the end of the street and a Donki within a few minutes walk.
