This hotel provided exceptional service. Each staff member went out of their way to welcome us. Breakfast was the best we had. Well worth the price. The bed was very comfortable. The view from our room was delightful. We walked everywhere or took the tram right from the front door. Cannot say more. We highly recommend!

The location of the hotel and view from the room are amazing. Nice breakfast with enough variety to choose from. The room was spacious with a small balcony overlooking the river. It was a little cold to sit outside in december, but I imagine it would be great in summer. The hotel is within walking distance of all sights in both Porto and Gaia.

Honestly, this hotel has exceeded our expectations. The staff was great, the rooms clean, spacious and modern. The pool on top of the building was amazing. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, and we would like to say thanks to all the staff for the impeccable service. The food itself was really good also. The free port on arrival was a nice touch. There is a nice backyard to relax after a long day touring the city.

Our stay was one of the most amazing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Not only was the view absolutely breathtaking from the room but the staff were top notch. They made sure we were okay and had everything we needed the whole time we were there. Thiago the bartender was one of the best parts!! Welcoming friendly and great drinks. Very warm welcome. We found a personal note from the manager and some fresh fruit in our room on arrival. We also received a voucher for a complementary drink at the bar. Breakfast had a vast choice and was very tasty. Room was perfect with a wonderful view to the cathedral. Beautiful area - walkable to the city center and sights. Most of the touristic tours start on the square just by the hotel. (a bit uphill, but so is the entire city) Beds - super comfy. Appreciated the wide choice of EN channels on the TV (not just BBC and CNN but a lot of entertainment channels)

Take the Linho do Douro train (~2h) and stay at least 2 days...

Take the Linho do Douro train (~2h) and stay at least 2 days in Pinhao. Sit on the right hand side to enjoy the sights of the river. Take a rental for at least one night. Take a 2 hour boat ride, one hour is not enough. The next day you should do wine tasting, including a short tour of the winery. Top this off with a meal at the winery's restaurant, some of which carry Michelin stars. Do make reservations at one of the booths in front of the train station.

The Douro river trip is well worth doing, seeing the vineyards and old buildings along the way. There was 5 bridges to go under some newer that others, very interesting information given as you go along. A very special place.

The Luis I bridge is nice to walk across.

The Luis I bridge is nice to walk across. Go one way on the lower level, than back on the high level. Choose your time well, as it can be very crowded. Avoid Ribeira. It's too crowdy, too expensive and too touristic. Go a little upward into the town, you can find way better places.

Beautiful area but expect lots of walking. If having dinner in Riberia check out what time sunset is and be sure to be there when the sun goes down and the lights come on for a lovely view over the river.

River trip well worth doing.

River trip well worth doing. Walk over the bridge(pictured) almost rubbing shoulders with the passing trains for stunning views. Cable car amazing over the roof tops and down to the Port wine cellars. A tram service also takes you along the Douro to the sea.

Lots of ways to make the most of the river, cruises, ferry, walks, buses on the roads running parallel - and lots of places to simply stop and watch, whilst sipping a glass of something and eating a small plate of local cheeses.

Very central, comfortable and bright appartment. Nearby is a good small spermarket (Auchan), also bus station 500 for going to the fishmarket and seeing Lissabons houses facing the Douro river. Kitchen also quite well equipped. The beds are comfortable too. In case you need anything Claudia is will help you immediately. Pls consider that you need earplugs at night because of the busy area around the appartment but I strongly recommend this place.

We did really enjoy the loft in the fifth floor. AMAZING place ! Huge Loft, very well designed ! A superb location close to all the city’s landmarks and near the Douro River. Everything is easily accessible on foot. Extremely quiet place ! TO BE RECOMMENDED !!!

Bright Studio near Douro River - with Balcony was absolutely flawless. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and in an excellent location. The three huge balcony windows made the place feel bright and airy, and the overall atmosphere was amazing. Everything was comfortable and very well-maintained. The communication with the owner was the best I’ve ever experienced. She was incredibly caring, thoughtful, and empathetic, which made the whole stay even more enjoyable. I truly felt looked after and would happily stay here again.

The location was unbeatable. On the river edge with beautiful views of the Douro River and the other side’s old town. A block away from the heaving waterfront eateries and souvenir shops, so crowds were much less but still close to all the attractions. The original floor boards and ceiling rafters together with a stone feature wall gave the apartment a historic feel. The daily breakfast hamper was handy and a fair fallback if you didn’t want to dine out.

Fantastic views over Douro river from balcony, just breathtaking. Apartment small but good for 2/3 people. Oven, fridge, TV all worked fine. It’s in a working class residential area, so local area not ‘pretty’. Bruno was an excellent, knowledgeable host - all in all a great place to stay to go and explore the fabulous city of Porto.
