We simply love this Hotel, we liked absolutely everything, the new rooms, clean, quiet, the location is perfect, you are close to the beach, 3 blocks walking and also from restaurants and everything in general but we want to leave a special mention for everyone who works in the Hotel, Front Desk, doorman, cleaning staff We schedule breakfast, included, which is in a nice restaurant next to the Hotel with very healthy and tasty options

The VIP feeling: all staff members were super friendly and helpful starting from the reception, the restaurant, the room service and penthouse bar they all took care of every detail with intent. Loved the spotless room and bathroom, the free toiletries and the little details like pillows with two levels of softness and amazingly comfy mattress and linens. Soundproofing was great! And one would appreciate that while staying in Miami Beach. Last but not least is the bar on the 4th floor just a few steps from where our room was located. The superior bar service and romantic atmosphere in the midst of Miami Beach hustle and bustle made our vacation so memorable! Thank you Pelican hotel!

No question that this is an iconic place and deserve a slow...

No question that this is an iconic place and deserve a slow saunter and look at all the buildings. But it is a noisy place with many restaurants and bars. Great to look at but I most definitely won't stay on any of the hotel on this road.

We got up at 7.00 am and walked along the boardwalk looking...

We got up at 7.00 am and walked along the boardwalk looking at all the people excercising in the cool of the morning. Probably my favourite time of the day on Ocean drive. The iconic Miami Beach. People playing volleyball etc. we had breakfast at The Betsy Hotel 144 Ocean Drive. Expensive but worth it. We ate on the terrace watching the world go by. The Versace House on Ocean Drive is now a restaurant, people were taking photos of themselves outside which all seemed a bit disrespectful and ghoulish.

Too crowded and out of control.

Too crowded and out of control. People playing football next to our dinner table and had the ball nearly hit us a few times. Pot smoke every where so plan on getting high just walking down the street. This is not the South Beach ten years ago. Go to Ft Lauderdale if you want less craziness.

Amazing hotel, boutique style, nicely renovated, strategically located nearby Ocean Drive and next to Walgreens (24/7). Hotel has got fantastic staff - Mercedes made our checkin&out exceptional, helped us book a restaurant and provided all the necessary information. Storage and rooftop service very kind and helpful, too.

The hotel was nice, decor lovely and quirky, with fresh clean linen on the beds (smelt lovely), bathroom was clean with plenty of body wash, shampoo and conditioner, the room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels supplied and right on ocean drive for all the restaurants and easy access to the beach.

Fantastic location on Ocean Drive. We had a lovely spacious balcony room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool, ocean and beach. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The Hotel has the excellent Americano Cafe located on the ground floor and we enjoyed superb breakfasts here and dinner one evening in the terrace. All round a great choice on South Beach.

The Julia Hotel is such a gem within Miami Beach. The manager Hector is so accomodating and the room felt more than spacious enough for two people. It's in a prime location where you don't have constant noise outside and it is only a short walk to Ocean Drive. I would definitely stay again.

Stroll Collins Ave and Lincoln Road. Of course include Ocean Drive where is good to get a drink at sunset. Espagnola Way should be visited for a nice dinner.Botanic Garden is also easy to reach for good walkers.

Avoid restaurants on ocean drive that do not display prices on their menus!!! Especially when they lure you in for their 'buy 1 get 1 free' then you find out the '1' cost $40 - without tax and without the 18% service charge that as added on top at EVERY restaurant/bar along ocean drive
