We stayed here many years ago and it left a lasting memory so we decided to return with friends on this trip. It was as good as we remembered. Amazing view of Table Mountain as a backdrop, easy to get into town and a few nice restaurants within walking distance. We had a superior room and it was wonderful. Lovely welcoming touches also.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cloud 9 hotel. The staff is outstanding - very friendly and helpful and we felt immediately comfortable and welcomed. We had a beautiful spacious room with a side view of Lion's Head. The hotel has various outdoor spaces including two pools, a hot tub and a sauna. There is guest parking which has to be reserved and paid for extra, but it's a secured space with cameras so it was definitely worth the money. Cloud 9 is just around the corner of Kloof Street with a lot of restaurant and bar choices and we felt safe to walk the short way there. For load shedding the hotel has back-up power, the only things not working are hair dryers and ACs, but it is easy to plan around the load shedding times since they are prominently announced at the reception. I'd always come back and stay here again and can only recommend booking a room here.

The architecture of this beautiful white Victorian boutique hotel with a very chic decor&design crisp, and very clean with a wonderful staff, especially grateful to Gerald, for being a gracious guide for two days, took us to iconic places and wineries with his kindness, warmth and wisdom making my first trip to the Cape extraordinary with unforgettable memories…

Kids enjoyed the lovely large heated pool, great selection on the buffet breakfast plus pancake machine. The room was clean and in good order for our stay.

This is a beautiful, newly renovated hotel - the staff members are extremely friendly, the breakfast is delicious and the room is very comfortable. We stay in the Penthouse apartment which has generous space. The hotel is located in a quiet but convenient neighbourhood. We highly recommend this hotel and will come back if we visit Cape Town again

We had the pleasure of staying at Botany House Boutique Retreat for a week. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by the owners and staff, whose warmth and personal attention made our stay feel incredibly special and personal. The rooms are absolutely beautiful: spacious, stylish, peaceful, and an oasis of calm after a day exploring the city. We especially loved the thoughtful little surprises and gestures throughout the week — tea with cake in the afternoon, wine with chocolates, and so many small touches that made us feel spoiled in the best possible way. The staff were consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely interested in making our stay perfect.

We were unexpectedly upgraded, and treated especially well. The room we occupied was well-appointed and absolutely clean and neat. The view was magnificent. Staff are super attentive.
