Wow! What a unique and stunning location! I booked a “tent” and was truly amazed at what we got. Sure, it’s technically a tent - built on a beautiful bamboo platform, with a queen size bed, and a dreamy balcony. The view is truly incredible. The entire staff was helpful, SO nice and accommodating. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there and it’s incredibly worth - the attention to detail and use of local ingredients was amazing. The whole ethos of permaculture they establish here is inspiring. I wish I had stayed longer!

Rancho Margot is more than a hotel, it's a community and an sustainable project. For us it was truly an inspiring experience as we could witness first-hand the challenges and rewards that living off-the-grid entail. Rancho Margot's team has accomplished plenty like regenerating a portion of the forest and they invite you to learn about their sustainability practices through their tours and experiences. You can also just enjoy nature, take a hike or swim on their natural pools. It's secluded for a good reason, and we didn't have any reason to leave. We stayed 3 nights but would love to come back!

The location was absolutely stunning with amazing views of the Arenal volcano and lake. We loved the various hiking trails, one even led to a water fall where you could swim, so bring your swim suits! We saw so much wild-life nearby on our walks including coyotes, toucans and monkeys. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We loved every meal and found the staff to be super friendly and helpful, wish we could have stayed longer!

The hostess was extremely helpful and let me in my cabana 6 hrs early! Had a nightmare journey and was very tired. Very clean facilities, the breakfast was excellent! Warm shower and a lovely pool surrounded by lush gardens. Very relaxing and quiet. I will be back . Gracias por su hospitalidad . Pura Vida!

This was probably my favorite stay during my entire trip to Costa Rica. It was so beautiful waking up and seeing the volcano right outside your tent!!! It’s very romantic and just breathtaking. I would highly recommend this place.
