Set in Mount Tamborine, within 5.5 km of Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk and 25 km of Warner Bros. The possum lodge has so much character. The hosts are so very generous- they have thought of every detail and they are incredibly generous in their provision in the amount and variety of food. It was a perfect stay.

Set on 14 acres alongside the UNESCO World Heritage listed Springbrook Plateau, Springbrook Mountain Chalets offers accommodation with a patio and a hot tub or spa bath. If I could put 20/10 I would, it was honestly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The place was spotless, super romantic, very private, in the middle of nature, and the owners are very helpful. Would definitely come back.

Boasting a double spa bath, a fireplace and BBQ facilities, Springbrook Lyrebird Retreat offers secluded cottages surrounded by rainforests. Was a lovely fun place to stay. Very peaceful. Definitely would love to stay again.

The Mouses House offers a choice of 12 chalets nestled within peaceful rainforest, only 30 minutes’ drive from the Gold Coast. The sauna and ice bath were great, the accommodation was awesome, we will be back next yr

Verandah House Country Estate is located on the top of Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland, with amazing views of the Gold Coast and surrounding mountains. Everything was perfect, and there are no words to describe how incredible the view from the hot tub is. I'll be recommending this place to everyone!

Located at the top of Tamborine Mountain, only 5 minutes' drive from various wineries and markets, this cosy retreat offers both luxury spa cottages and queen rooms with en suite bathrooms. The owners clearly care that the guests' visit goes as well as possible. The accommodation gave the impression that cleanliness is well taken care of. We almost passed the place because of the first picture on the booking site. Fortunately, we also looked at other pictures and reviews.

Witches Falls Cottages offers intimate adults-only private accommodation nestled amongst flower gardens and native trees. Cook your own breakfast is a novel idea which wasn't clearly communicated and only on cracking a raw egg thinking it was boiled did I realise this was the case. It was a great experience to grill my own breakfast and enjoy the freshly baked bread after the rainforest hike neighbouring the venue. The spa bath and shower are great too.

Shambala Eco Retreat Cottages are just 5 minutes’ drive from Tamborine Mountain Visitor Centre. Each cottage has a private patio with views of the gardens and Witches Falls National Park. Loved the slow combustion fireplace, large bath, beautiful outlook, very quiet, stunning grounds, great location not far from town and also close to a nice rain forest walk. We also struck perfect weather while we were there which added to the pleasure, but with the lovely setting and plenty of nice restaurants and other indoor things to do on the mountain, I'm sure we would have had a great time even if the weather was not so good.

Situated in Barney View, 43 km from Border Ranges National Park, Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. had a lovely feel and very comfortable.

Featuring garden views, Wongari Eco Retreat in Lamington features accommodation, a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. The Serenity cabin provided an incredibly relaxing getaway and the Wongari team are such great hosts (special thanks to Mark). Can’t wait for the next opportunity to stay here again!
