Featuring city views, LA CASA DE RICKY "El balcón de las Montañas" in Caraz features accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Ricky has a dream to make a lovely, comfortable, friendly place to stay for travellers in Caraz-and he is doing a great job of it. Our balcony private double room was a good size, nice views over town, warm comfortable bed and good hot shower with pressure. Ricky is a terrific host, smiling, happy and wanting to ensure you have the best experience possible. He helped with taxis and tours and was always willing to chat or help with anything. This isn’t 5 star- it is authentic, local guy making a lovely hostel for guests to enjoy.

Situated in Carhuaz, Samana Lodge offers accommodation with a terrace or a balcony, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. The place, as they described it, is very beautiful and comfortable, and the best part is the couple who runs it—they are very kind and make you feel very welcome.

Bely and Jorge were amazing hosts! They have a beautiful and private piece of paradise. They were so kind and welcoming - and lots of fun to karaoke with! The food, handcrafted beer, pool, and room were exceptional. Bely was so kind to arrange taxis for hiking, helped us with our laundry, and taught us some Spanish! They have two very cute and friendly dogs (and a cat). Their place is located in a quiet neighbourhood with a river nearby, and is just a short 30m walk to the town centre. Highly recommend staying here!

This was perfect for our stay - we wanted some peace and quiet away from Lima where we live, and this was exactly what we wanted. There were other guests who did some amazing trekking too, so there is something for everyone here. I had a lovely horse ride with Wayne, one of the owners. Ideallic. Wayne and his wife Diana, who are Canadian, are wonderful hosts. The food is brilliant, worthy of the best restaurants in Lima (and dinner is included, which we didn't realise and was an amazing bonus). Our cottage had a wood fire too, which made it very cosy.

I booked a short stay to relax before going to a conference. I also booked massages and Reiki. Truly a relaxing experience and I would definitely go back.
