The view, location, the friendly staff, the size of bedroom and the great selection of breakfast.

The location is excellent, walkable distance from Mentingen Hill viewpoint. The view from the room is also excellent. Food is nice, with a good range of option. Staff is great, especially Ade at frontdesk.

The host, Sony, is a beautiful soul, he help us as a lot, we arrived early, so he recommend us where to eat, what time start our hiking and he solve our doubts. I highly recommended

The host was very helpful in giving local advice when hiking Bromo. They also helped me give some advice when travelling from Probolinggo, although if relying on a Shuttle you may have to wait a while. The accomodation was clean too.

The host was just amazing! So helpful to help me get a train ticket because i had a problem with the app (i think i was a bit annoying and asking him too many questions), he was always eager to help, he gave me free hot chocolate when i was upset about bromo because there were clouds everywhere and i didnt have nice view 🥹

The homestay is very cosy and the ambience is truly beautiful with our rooms facing the mountain ranges. The owner is very warm and friendly. He's able to customise my needs to arrange for sightseeing around Bromo and Surabaya area at a reasonable price.

Beautiful location. Large space. Deddy is an incredible host and his brother who took us on a keep tour up bromo was lovely. His parents are also around and it really adds to the atmosphere. 100% would stay here again.

Exactly what you want from this type of accommodation: affordable, clean, and comfortable! The hot shower is a huge bonus, especially after a long hike in the cold. Nothing beats coming back, warming up, and relaxing after a night/morning out exploring. Great value for money!

Very convenient to stay there before heading for a sunrise trip to bromo mountains. Pre stay communication was easy and the staff seamlessly organised the tour to bromo and transport from Malang and then to Surabaya.

The staff at Jiwa Jawa are all very friendly and helpful and they kindly gave us an upgrade this trip. The room they gave us was fabulous and we were really thrilled with the size and location. The restaurant is also fantastic. Food is great and restaurant staff very professional.
