This place exceeded my expectations. It was impeccably clean and comfortable; everything smelled super fresh. Jun is so friendly, helpful and fun! She added an extra spark to my stay. I don’t know if it was a long day of sightseeing in the Tomohon area followed by a two-hour evening tour in Tangkoko Park or what, but the mie goreng I had at the restaurant attached to the homestay was possibly the best I had in three weeks’ travel in Sulawesi (the restaurant had a really nice outdoor space, too). The guide I had for the evening and morning tour, Ace, was absolutely fabulous. She helped me get stellar photos of all the animals we saw. It’s less than a 5-min walk to the park entrance. All around: wow, a great experience at Tangkoko Family Homestay.

Open floor with owners living in the same place, which makes the place feel like a home. You are invited to join their house, the kitchen is always operating and the food is great. The space serves special tourists such as bird watchers, so the organization for field trips with their staff and transportation is a perfect setting.

Very new, amazing location and great hosts. It is family and locally owned by people who are also great at showing and guiding you around the area to see the wildlife. The food was also amazing every single time.

Staff are nice and location is great, just next to the national park. We did the tour with the owner and it was amazing.

Very clean - perfect location

We had a wonderful time at Sunmoon. The beautiful quiet beach was peaceful and relaxing for us and fun for our kids. We were well taken care of, the food was delicious. We will be back!

The whole experience was great. The lodge is located very close to the national park, within walking distance. The rooms are clean, comfy, large and equipped with AC. The lodge provides guides into the forest. The prices as of March 2024 are 250,000pp for morning tours and 150,000pp for night tours. This doesn't include the 100,000 park fee per person. We were very lucky to be paired with Roy. He spotted things we never would have been able to, he has so much knowledge about the park, the animals and the area, and best of all, he's a cool guy. He's super friendly and easy to talk to, we cannot recommend him enough. For an extra cost the lodge can also provide food. It is so cheap and really incredible cooking. Thank you to all the people that made our stay so much fun!

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. My guide Franki was great. He made my visit to Tangkoko national park very special and is a real expert on the wildlife of the area. He is determined to create the best possible experience for his clients.

We booked a guide to go through the Tangkoko forest and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Amazing stay at Renny’s Tangkoko Safety Stop. Renny and her son are super good host & made our stay perfect. Ino ( her son ) is in charge of the jungle tour and has a strong knowledge ( and patience) for all animals & we had the chance to spot Cuscus Bear, Black Macaques, tarantulas, Tarsiers thanks to him. The homestay is super clean with great space & bed. I highly recommend this place that is a gateway at the door of Tangkoko park Thank you for all Renny & Ino 🙌

Iwan is a super friendly tour guide who really knows the jungle and takes the time to show you everything. He and his family arranged everything for us; food, tours and taxi. The food was delicious, and the accommodation was clean and comfy. We totally recommend both, the stay and the jungle tour to anyone looking for an authentic experience. Thanks a lot, Iwan!
