Lodgings in Storaborg

Lovely guest rooms in a converted barn space at a horse farm. When we were there, it was cold and rainy in April, so none of the horses were out—a very quiet and peaceful place to stay for the night. If you are a rider, this is definitely your place.

This is a perfect place to stay and what we envisioned before coming..:a charming and warm accommodation on a horse farm in Iceland. We stayed here and did day trip Snaefellness which was wonderful! We encountered a minor problem when we arrived and the owner was knocking on our doorstep five minutes later with a bottle of wine and a ready for our problem fixed within the hour! Extremely welcoming and just lovely place to be with our family (including 3 teens.) our son was taking pictures of the horses from our doorstep in the miiddle of the night. A very serene and warm place…wish we would have booked a horse tour. Would definitely recommend!!!!

This was in a relocation, very clean, cozy and easy check in. The price was excellent.

Comfortable and very nice. Great place to stay to recover some hours of sleep

We had an absolutely wonderful one-night stay at this beautiful wooden house! Traveling as a group of six with two cars, we found the property perfectly suited to our needs and far exceeded our expectations. The house is impressively spacious, featuring three cozy bedrooms and a large living room with a comfortable couch — perfect for relaxing together. Everything was spotless and inviting, and the cleanliness truly stood out. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed (and more!), including a lovely surprise gift of chocolate. The additional technical room with a washing machine and cleaning supplies was a thoughtful bonus, especially for longer stays. We were delighted to find designated parking for both of our cars right outside. The surrounding garden is stunning, with mature trees and complete privacy—no neighbors in sight, just peace and quiet. The warm wooden interior and natural insulation made the house feel incredibly cozy. One of the highlights was the sparkling clean jacuzzi that comfortably fit 4-5 people. So relaxing! The detailed instructions provided for every appliance made everything effortless, and the owner was phenomenal, responding instantly to a late-night message when we had a small issue. Such dedication and hospitality made a huge difference! All in all, this stay was a gem—fantastic value for money and a hidden oasis of calm. We'd love to return for a longer visit next time!

It was beautiful and well appointed and organized. The kitchen had more than everything you’d need and the outside grill was fabulous. Everything was clean and it was super relaxing. The walk to the river was really nice, we saw tons of birds and it was super peaceful.

The suite was great, spacious and clean. Parking right outside your cabin. Beautiful view and large windows.. staff were great and very helpful. We arrived late and asked for dinner and reception arranged with the restaurant to have us.. lovely meal and great atmosphere.. If you are considering hunting northern lights than this is your spot.. the location, set up and atmosphere gives a glamping feel to the experience,, would love to visit again.

We loved Storaborg Holiday Home. The house is lovely, clean, and comfortable. My family is five was very happy there. We were thrilled to be able to see the Northern Lights during our stay! Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was lovely and the views were amazing, loved the extra space with 3 adults and 1 child. The shower water pressure was good, and having a kitchenette was helpful.

This was one of the most beautiful properties I have stayed at. The account was fully stocked with everything a family could need for vacation. They even had the hot tub heated and ready for our arrival! They had an entire booklet with information about the area, yours, point of interests as well as info on using certain appliances, light switches etc. My family was able to see a spectacular show of the northern lights from the backyard. I will definitely be back!

Great property to have fun with family. Excellent landscaping around the property and love everything about this! Bathroom was very nice and clean.

The breakfast was excellent, good selection and good homemade bread. The room was very big and cosy.

We slept in one of the trucks. It was tight, but it was a great experience.

The house was so beautiful, very modern on the inside with a huge, well equipped kitchen and big cozy couches. The room was also very nice, warm, and cozy. The hot tub with a view was also great. Thanks for a great stay!

This apartment was adorable! It was very clean, beautiful furnishings, lovely yard with a garden, view of a Fjord, and the next door neighbor's chicken coop. The kitchen and bathroom were nicely equipped and it was very functional. Walking distance to the local pizza shop, a 3 minute drive to the historic area of Borganes.

The house was the perfect place for our two night stay to explore the Snaefellsnes peninsula. It was in a beautiful location and close to the town of Borgarnes, which had wonderful dining options (highly recommend Bara Borgarnes). The house was very clean and comfortable and my teenagers and pre-teen loved it. It was very peaceful and the hottub was perfect for soaking in after a day of hiking. Beds were comfotable and the shower was amazing. Loved watching the sunsets from the porch. Definely our favorite booking of our 9 day Iceland trip.

We had a wonderful two night stay in late July. The hosts are so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The two cabins look and feel brand new and were spotlessly clean. Beds are comfortable and the fridge is larger than the usual mini fridge so it can hold some groceries. Amazing river wide open views across the river from the deck, which has a BBQ on the deck. So much to see and do in the area. I would stay here again and highly recommend.

Beautiful location and super cozy cabin. Had everything we needed for a low pace/stress relaxing trip. There is a grocery store no more than 8 minutes down the road. Also faces north do super nice to see the northern lights from the comfort of the cabin!

Everything. Brand new. Washer and dryer very useful after traveling for days. Hot tub very relaxing.

the view is amazing, it is very quiet, the atmosphere, the location. feels like walking into the shire:) hottub works well. The shower is really good.
