Fantastic hostel, does everything you could hope for and more. The pool area is amazing to relax in, the rooms are comfortable and they were very helpful organising tours too

The location was amazing and the entire set up of the lodges, within a bigger community. The lodge was spacious and equipped with everything you could need. The outside space was lovely and we really enjoyed having the pool. Every member of staff goes above and beyond and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. They were so accommodating, even helping us with all our plans and travel arrangements. We stayed for quite a long time, so really appreciated everything the team did for us during our stay. Thankyou to Socheat and his team- you were incredible!

Great little place. Super great value. Outside of the city but walkable or a 5 minute tuk tuk away. My dorm was spectacular, i loved that there was a window on the back of my bunk which could be closed by a blind or cortines. People where great too

Absolutely everything. The vibe is perfect. It feels very authentically Khmer, with fantastic food, an extremely friendly staff, adorable rescue dogs and cats, a very basic but clean and sturdy bungalow over the beautiful river. The kayaks were there to borrow and so much fun. It was easy to get a tuk tuk to and from Kampot.

Very nice hostel with nice common area. Some what social but not a party hostel. The staff behind the bar is really fun, helpful and nice to talk to.

We stayed over the weekend, as Kampot is always one of our favourite getaway destinations. This time, we chose Chateau Kampot because it is a new and visually appealing property. From the outside, the colonial-style building stands out beautifully, and once inside, it offers a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. We booked a Deluxe Room, which turned out to be very spacious—much better than we expected. The bed was incredibly comfortable; the moment we lay down, we completely relaxed. The bathroom was also spacious, though the hot water took about two minutes to warm up. The staff were truly the highlight of our stay—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Breakfast was good and sufficient for us, though it could benefit from a wider variety of options.

We loved everything about this resort hotel. It is rustic but elegant. Simple and extremely comfortable. My daughter and I spent two nights there -- I wish we had stayed a week. The resort is about 15 minutes from down by tuk tuk -- it is in the jungle, set on canals. We could hear all the night critters, frogs, insects -- mixed with the gorgeous call to prayer by a nearby mosque. Beautiful. The pool is divine. The restaurant is absolutely stellar. The service is beautiful. We love Cambodia and the Cambodian people. Ten stars out of five!

It’s very rural and on the river it’s a lovely place

Five stars for the helpful staff and the manager! The bed was a bit hard, but at $10 a night, it was a bargain. I had everything I needed: clean sheets, a shower, coffee, and a swimming pool. It’s also very close to town—only $1 by tuk-tuk. Zero complaints!

We absolutely loved our stay. The common space was the best in all our stays in SE Asia, it was so comfortable, relaxing and looked lovely. Heavy rain came one day and listening to the rain all around you, while relaxing in a chair was an experience we will always remeber. But let's not forget about the people who were so kind and helpful! The small surprise like a platter of fruit and cold water really made a difference. This place really felt like a home. P.S. Special thank you to Monica who,after we forgot a small, but precious thing to us, sent the package to Phnom Penh without hesitation. Thank you Monica!

Sabay Beach was the highlight of our trip! From the beautiful sunset view, to the swims in the river and the delicious food. Special mention to the staff for being so kind and professional. Our room was very spacious and clean and it was easy to book activities and tuktuks through the reception to travel to town. We are so happy we stayed there!
