Lodgings in Saschiz

Flori is a fabulous host. She was so welcoming and accommodating to every need, and really made me feel at home. Dinner was delicious home cooking and breakfast was great too. The room was clean and cosy, the village is quiet and beautiful. She even pointed me to the corner shop for water before I set off on the Via Transilvanica, which is perfect for hikers starting from Saschiz!

Very friendly owners, lots of pets and farm animals on premises (great for kids), ground floor room (great for elderly and people with mobility issues), good recommendations for restaurants.

The rooms and property are wonderful, with a lot of attention to the local specific.

Very nice experience in Transylvanian village. The hosts are very helpful and hospitable, they met us with some homemade bread and drink. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is great, on the way from Sigisoara to Brasov.

Touch of authentic Saxonian culture.

Everything was just perfect. The people, the place, the bed, dinner and breakfast. Everything was authentic and carefully restored. I would definitely come back.

I've been here many times. It's always a pleasure, and we really enjoy our stay. Clean, comfortable, quiet, with exceptional homemade food. I can't wait to return and will definitely come back many more times.

Stayed here for one night while hiking the Via Transilvanica with our two children. Amazing location! We had the two double rooms in the main house with the patio, which were very comfortable, each with their own bathroom. There was a kitchen and a living room on site in separate buildings, which were nice to relax in and make a quick meal. The garden was beautiful, with a lovely outdoor table under a shaded pergola. The resident cats were friendly, and our children enjoyed playing with them! There was a sauna and a pool and cute glamping tents on site, but none of them were operational/occupied while we were there.

The location is superb (small, quiet village); the communication before and during the stay was excellent; Cosmina was waiting for us and explained everything in detail. The common barn was perfect to relax, and to have a coffee or tea. With an additional cost, Cosmina and Daniel prepared an extensive breakfast for us at the barn, with a lot of delicious local products. It was the best accommodation of our travel in Romania. Recommendation: visit Viscri and reserve a dinner there.

We had a fantastic stay! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect, right in the center of Saschiz, close to the church. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the beautiful, spacious garden was a real highlight. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended for a relaxing and authentic stay in Saschiz!

Everything was great - the location, the accommodation, the food. An old building restored by dedicated people who strongly believe that bringing back to life the authenticity of the Saxon villages is the true added value you cannot find anywhere else.

The location is gorgeous - having your (excellent) morning coffee while enjoying the view of the Transylvanian hills was unbeatable. I particularly enjoyed being right next to the fortified church and being able to explore it - although it is not one of the older churches in the area, it is still very much worth a look. The breakfast was basic but good - very good local bread, cheeses and salata de vinete. The accommodation was a beautifully restored old house, clean and comfortable.

It was a lovely stay; we loved every aspect of it, from the facilities to the old trees and the staff whose attention was just the right balance between helpful and discreet. We would love to stay here again, anytime😊

We stayed in one of the cabins and it was lovely. The door and window had screens on them so we could have airflow without the bugs. The outdoor area was beautiful. The shared shower area was immaculately clean. The hosts were very kind. We loved our one night here.

Obviously, I simply adored the place. It was exactly what I was looking for. Peaceful, simple, unfussy -- all in the middle of a small village, and with a most wonderful host. Sana helped me even before I arrived to find a most wonderful woman (Roza), at a nearby pension, who was willing to prepare dinner for me; and Ionut, my excellent guide for a hike through the surrounding meadows and woods. I should have arranged to stay longer, it was that much of a treat. And I couldn't be more grateful to Sana for all her help.
