Huge room. Massive bathroom with heated floor and gigantic shower. All in all fantastic, nice view, very comfortable bed. Easy to find and convenient parking.

We liked very much our stay at the Altstad hotel Passau! There are not many hotels left, which have kept or implemented important details following a thoughtful reflection on user experience. For example: the room is spacious, has lots of ceiling lights allowing you to read comfortably, swinging chair by the window, a laminated print list of TV channels, a table reserved for breakfast on the terrace or inside- which makes it 2 tables resered!; espresso or capuchino included in the buffet, a wonderful terrace overlooking the Danube... The hotel is clean, combining comfort and tradition. The staff is professional, friendly and flexible to accommodate the clients' wishes. Our room was easily accessible with the lift for an elderly person. We can join the 'ADAC - the German Automobile Club- in its appreciation and recommendation for this hotel! Passau is amazingly beautiful, but combined with a lovely hotel experience, will remain as a precious Bavarian souvenir for us! Juja Chakarova

This is, without a doubt, the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The value for money is simply unbelievable. It genuinely feels like staying in a luxury hotel, but with far more space, privacy and beautiful surroundings. When we arrived, we were shown a stunning penthouse apartment with a beautiful balcony. As we were travelling with our dog, we asked if there was a ground-floor apartment instead. Although there wasn't a two-bedroom option downstairs, the lady very kindly gave us two adjoining apartments connected by an internal door, giving us an incredible amount of space. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more special. The apartments are beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Every detail has been carefully thought out, and the quality of the furniture, décor and fittings gives the whole place the feel of a high-end hotel. The showers are among the best we've ever used! The grounds are what make this place truly unforgettable. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, with rolling hills, forests and beautiful views in every direction. There are lovely walking trails, peaceful places to sit and relax, a fire pit, a wood-fired nordic tub and beautifully maintained gardens surrounded by tall fir trees. Families will absolutely love it here. There are fantastic games rooms with table tennis, table football, darts and creative activities, as well as wonderful outdoor play areas, ponies, a trampoline and plenty of space for children to explore safely. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were made to feel genuinely welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Our whole family has already decided that we will return and make this our regular holiday destination. It's rare to find somewhere that combines luxury, nature, comfort and outstanding facilities at such an affordable price. This place is a true hidden gem.

Stephan’s penthouse is in a wonderful location with great views. There is a lift to get you to the 4th floor. Everything was comfortable and clean. Added bonus of a wonderful cafe downstairs.
