The best campsite in Norway, at least I have been to! One price, no extra costs, except for the home made pizza or small breakfast bunns if you want this. You can use the boats at the lake, bikes to cycle round the same lake, and you dont need coins for the showers. In the evening there are solarlights to light up the campsite, very nice. There is a small sauna which you can use, super!

I spent just one night in the tiny house, so I didn’t get to experience much of the surroundings except a short hike in the valley below, and still it’s been one of the definite highlights of my road trip across Norway. Rosan and Ruben (and Gustav the Dog) are charming and caring hosts who have created a unique and memorable place, with stories to share. Lack of running water in the cabin wasn’t a big deal since the bathroom in the main building was just a couple steps away, private and accessible at any hour. I suppose the walk might get slightly challenging in winter, but in August it was a non-issue. The tiny house itself is incredibly cozy and arranged in a way that makes you feel you’re sitting at the top of a mountain at the end of the world, which is kind of how it actually is — the slope starts right where the terrace ends, and the valley below is mostly empty. Late evening on the terrace couch was exceptionally quiet, and breakfast with a view was magnificent. Highly recommended.
