Hands down, one of the best stays I’ve ever had and I’m not just saying that. The room is cold, quiet, clean. No clutter, no weird smells, no half-broken stuff. You walk in, you breathe. You sleep well. You don’t hear anything. It’s just… PERFECT. John the owner he’s not doing that “host” act. He’s just a solid guy who actually shows up for his guests. No delays, no excuses, no attitude. You need something? It’s done. You’ve got questions? He answers them before you even ask. No ego, no weird vibe just pure respect and presence. It’s rare as hell. Even the scooter rental is on point brand new, rides clean, price is fair. Not one of those beat-up bikes everyone else tries to pass off as “ok.” This isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s run properly. It feels good. You can tell someone gives a shit about the details and that alone makes it better than half the so-called “top-rated” places out there. Stay here. That’s it.

Definitely one of the best guest houses we have stayed in a long while during our travels in many countries. The owner - Abigail, her mother, husband and all the kids are lovely and talkative, we had a chance to meet some other relatives from their family (best regards to Glen and his brother!), we just felt welcome and like at home. Really positive and clean place to relax. Great view from the balcony, only 10 minutes away with tricycle from the city center. I would love to come back at one point in my life! Ps. you can also rent motorbikes for 300php / day (that what the price was in early Nov 205)

The rooms are designed and decorated for your comfort, the lady of the house has thought of every detail. It's so elegant and comfortable. The owners are super helpful and friendly. You immediately feel safe and belong. They suggest the best places to eat at, and visit. We had an amazing 7-day stay at Fat Lips Surf Lodge, even during the island-wide power outage. Despite the challenges, the entire crew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. The lodge is in an ideal location in Catangnan, just a short ride from Cloud 9 and General Luna, with a peaceful garden view surrounded by lush greenery. Tim was incredible, always checking in to ensure everything was okay. With a generator, running water, and fast Wi-Fi, we had everything we needed and never felt inconvenienced. Huge thanks to Kuya Julius, his wife, and the rest of the fantastic team for making us feel so at home. We also had the chance to meet Apple (Tim’s wife), who is so kind and cool. She even gave us some awesome Fat Lips merch to remember our trip! 🙈 And, of course, lil Stevie stole our hearts. We already miss that sweet little guy! 🥹❤️ P.S. You also get a 10% discount at their shop and on surfboard rentals, which was such a nice bonus. We’re already planning to come back next year — and this time, we’re staying for a whole month! Salamat Karajaw, Fat Lips crew! 🤙

Attentive, friendly, and accommodating staff and managers/owners. they helped you arrange activities, has bike rental in place. the place itself is quiet, off the main road, and beautiful and true to pictures. the cafe/restaurant specialize in vegetarian food with indian spices and honestly our best eats in the island. i especially love their breakfast option and cottage cheese masala. oh their drinks ! "white baby", get it ! thank you for hosting us ! from room 102 🤍 thank you !! highly reccomend and would return again.
