Providing a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as a sauna. The property is non-smoking and is situated 2.8 km from Quinta das Palmeiras. Great hotel by a stunning beach. Rooms are perfect and the food (we had all inclusive) was delicious. Drinks at the pool bar are superb. Helpful and professional staff. The beach, the room and the breakfast are the highlights of this hotel… in that order! So I recommend it. This hotel has all the potential to be the best hotel in Porto Santo. However it is not quite there yet, it needs some improve in management and staff training (receptionists).

Renovated and had everything you might need! Loved the stay have nothing bad to say about this property

Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, Refúgio das Fontes is situated in Senhora do Rosário, 20 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools and 21 km from Girao Cape. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. The guest house has a sun terrace and a hot tub. Host was really clear in the instructions and willing to help with anything we needed. The house is really spacious and clearly well taken care of. The hot tub is a nice touch. The shower was perfect. We want to mention how grateful we are for the flexibility of our host, with a special request of ours... It really helped us out when we needed it. Would recommend this place to stay at. Kitchen well equipped, coffee machine was nice, fridge was nice and big.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Great place. New. Balcony in Room 5 was nice to sit and have a beer from the local supermarket (the coffee/pastry shop and small supermarket right past the church are great - staff speak either great English or pretty good English). We overlooked the water- nice. I posted a pic from the balcony. There was also a skylight over the bed if you like stars. Housekeeping was wonderful, and we asked Pedro (very very responsive) for extra towels on Saturday because they're off on Sunday. No problem. Fridge is nice, coffee/pods provided in room were also great, but it was nice to wander down to one of the shops after a day of hiking/sightseeing and sit and have a cup outside. Also- nice places to eat all around, O Recante was fabulous (oh, I'll remember that dessert for a long time) and we had a super nice inexpensive dinner at Muralha's Bar. I can't find any fault with the place other than what I'm sure will be a brief one as they're apparently enlarging the parking area (if they haven't finished already!).

Clean, spatious, lots of amenities, newly renovated, small restaurant close by, free parking right in front.

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The apartment has family rooms. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. We were greeted with fruit, cookies, and Madeira wine. There is a bus stop very close to the accommodation that made it very easy to get to and from Funchal. Would definitely stay here again!

The accommodation provides a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Excellent location within walking distance of everywhere and in a quiet neighborhood. Communication with the host via Whatsapp was excellent. The apartment was just as described in the listing and very comfortable.

Featuring barbecue facilities and views of city, Caniçal houses - Madeira is a recently renovated apartment set in Caniçal, 600 metres from Beach Pedradeira. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation offers a balcony. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. We stayed for 2 nights in polar house (orange room). Check in and out was easy, communicated to the host and she replied very quickly with picture instructions. Everything was very clean and comfortable for 2 people. We had a nice view over the harbour. Free parking right across the road. Short walk down to the beach, a few dinner places and cafes plus small super market all within 3-4 min walk. A nice location for access to both north and south attractions on the island!

Horizon Retreat in Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with an infinity pool and a garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The homestay provides a fitness room and a shared kitchen. This was amazing -- I was shocked that such an breathtakingly wonderful place was available and so reasonably priced! It turns out that I had lucked out -- the owner wasn't expecting other renters, so I had the place virtually to myself. Alan (the owner) is generous and kind, and he was loads of fun to chat with -- so many stories. It felt more like staying with an old friend than some random hotel. The grounds are amazing and immaculately kept, the room is spacious, and the pool was kept at a blissful 30C, perfect for swimming at night. Honestly, I'm just a little mad at myself for not staying longer. Oh one other thing: Alan has an adorable, old sweet dog named Jeff, and Jeff really enhanced the stay by being such a good boy.
