We spent five nights at Vaiava Beach Carlton in Punaauia (Dec 24 - Dec 29) and truly appreciated the beautiful, long, and acclimatized pool, as well as the easy access to the stunning beach with crystal-clear waters—both wonderful highlights of our stay. One of the most special moments was watching a mama and papa bird caring for their baby right in front of our door every day and night, taking turns in the most heartwarming way. The sounds of different bird species added a lovely touch to the surroundings. While we enjoyed our stay, a couple of things could be improved. The shower in the apartment could use an update, as the plate showed signs of age. Additionally, the proximity to the road meant occasional car noise, but the peaceful wildlife moments made up for it. Overall, we had a pleasant stay with great amenities, and with a few small updates, it could be even more enjoyable.
