The site seeing was good and within walking distance once you reached the palace area, plenty of shops and restaurants that were interesting. Its a very busy city full of tourists and hard to see local non tourist venues in the city centre so you get a tourist view of Spain / life in Madrid. It is very very busy and people join lines to go into restaurants. We got some good food and some v poor and expensive food, its hard to know what quality of food you may actually get after you order. We found the restaurants generally very geared towards get them in get them out. Not the care and attention that you would get in Ireland or Italy with respect to food. The weather was excellant for eating out and maby we were unlucky with some of our choices, but we did get to two good restaurants where the food was nice.

Truly a royal city.
Truly a royal city. Beautiful architecture, well maintained and very clean. Broad avenues with LOTS of trees everywhere and several large parks in the city centre. Probably the greenest city in Europe. We loved walking in the Retiro park. The city is huge and taking the hop on - hop off bus on the first day really helped us get an overview so that we knew what to explore later. The public transport works well and makes it easy to get around Madrid. We visited the Prado museum and saw its impressive collection of paintings, Goya and Velasquez in particular. Sorry our stay was to short to visit more. As expected, there were lots of tapas bars and restaurants everywhere in the city centre.

Madrid is a wonderful place to visit, with just amazing architecture, lots of things to see and experience and very easy to get around, both walking and by transport. And the people are friendly and helpful. We loved Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Place de Santa Ana, La Latina and Huertas areas. Every restaurant we tried was great with lots of outdoor areas to sit back, relax and people watch.

It is a lively city, beautiful, very wide avenues and well laid out. It delightfully combines both old and modern, and rather safe for pedestrians. The food is great, and there is an awful lot of choice of restaurants around. The people are friendly and the price is just right.

Everything was super. Staff at reception desk was nice and polite. If you need hairdryer, some extra higyene products, or something else, just ask. My bedroom and bathrom were small, but in city centre are old buildings, with limited options for upgrade. Just keep in mind that you are in beautiful Madrid, and you will forget size of the room, or noice from the street 😉. For me, position of hotel is the best thing. Considering that I travel alone and had early morning flight, 24/7 reception desk was very important and helpful.

The hotel was really nice. We booked there because we had an early flight. The location was perfect, because it was a 20 min walk to the airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's probably the best bed I slept in in Madrid. It's a bit outside of the city center, but the area has some nice restaurants and a cozy plaza. It was a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a metrostation near by. I would recommend this hotel!

Convenient location as close by to the airport if you’re looking for a short stay. There’s bus stops close by to commute to city centre. It is however in a remote location but there is a shop a minutes walk away, no other shops in vicinity. The staff were friendly, the hotel is clean, good facilities, a modern hotel.

Nice hotel, great restaurants around but removed from the tourist part of Madrid.
Very conveniently located with a 3 minute walk to the train for direct access into the city centre or very cheap uber into the city.
Breakfast is good value so recommend adding that.
