Kuju Kogen cottage is an onsen resort in the middle of the Kuju mountain range. On the day of check-in, the staff was very kind in allowing us to change the room to a Japanese style tatami room (they had initially given us a western style room). Booking a private hot spring bath room for me and my girlfriend was easy too (50 minutes, with an additional charge). Access to public male and female onsen rooms is included in the room charge. I loved the dinner selection, both the Yakiniku and the Japanese style option. While speaking a little japanese makes things easier, the staff can handle English speaking visitors fairly well. The views from the resort are simply stunning and I feel lucky to have been there.

We had a new room and it was better than expected. The onsen is older but I enjoyed the outside section.

Room was very spacious. There were 3 heaters in the room, so definately warm enough to anyone's liking if you needed. Room onsen was nice. Food was in a private dining room for dinner and breakfast. There was a very nice lounge to relax in as well. There is a public cave onsen that was quite special. In winter, roads may have snow and need to be wary if driving in.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is located in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 328 feet from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site.

Everything is perfect even this is a historic hotel. Dinner is very nice, all staffs are excellent and friendly.

25 miles from Mount Aso in Minamioguni, Hanare no Yado Hanagokoro provides accommodations with access to a hot spring bath, public bath, and open-air bath.
