Excellent food and service at dinner and breakfast. The server spoke English and made the translation of ingredients and the hotel's history more informative, and in general, added a welcoming touch to converse about his experience. The staff was very accommodating and efficient in performing their duties down to carrying our bags to the parking area on departure.

A nice ryokan with a nice onsen. Very hospitable staff. The free milk/coffee/pudding service at the lounge is a nice touch, especially the fresh milk is very creamy and delicious. They served the famous Zao beef for dinner which was delicious. The room is huge and comfortable with all the amenities

We loved the japanese style room and wearing the yukatas. There are two types of onsen directly in the hotel, very nicely decorated: the natural ones (sulfur) and some other hot bath to actually wash and soak. The dinner and breakfast were very fine and delicious, delicately presented. It's a 10-15 min walk to the city, very easily accessible.

The room was beautiful, I loved the view and the little touches like the gorgeous teapot. The onsens were wonderful, especially the larger outdoor one. I’d go back just for the onsen. The location was also good, opposite a gondola and a chairlift.

The room was spacious, clean and nice. The view from the window was charming. The onsens, both outdoor and indoor, were great, comfortable and nice. The whole hotel is a pleasant place to relax.
