The location was perfect being directly attached to the Aomori train station and close to restaurants and other tourist sites. The room was perfectly clean and a great size. A wonderful bathroom was also appreciated. The room and hotel had a relaxing vibe being new with a modern clean fitout. We really loved the opportunity to use the private onsen which included complimentary drinks and snacks. The Blue Room also with complimentary snacks and drinks and a lovely deck to enjoy the view (even in the snow!) was a lovely way to spend a late afternoon.

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. The staff was so kind and welcoming, dinner was delicious, and the onsen was so gorgeous. I loved the location as it was fairly easy to get to even with heavy snow, and it was very close to a lot of fun activities.
