The staff were fantastic and helpful and even spoke English to me. The shower was a little on the short side, for me but i am rather tall, but when i asked to change rooms they were able to acccommodate my request. The breakfast was good and served a small variety but quality produce and the restaurant in the hotel served delicious large portions of food.

Superb location with a large balcony looking out over the lake. Very relaxed setting, with plenty of walking and nature straight from the door. Various restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Easy to park immediately outside, and for those who prefer the train station is just on the other side of the road.

Hotel might not look like much from the outside, but my room was new (including the bathroom), clean and comfortable. Restaurant also seems to be renovated and staff was nice and very helpful. I needed to use the room until the afternoon and they were very helpful and didn't charge me any extra.

This location exceeded all expectations. The owners are by far the most gracious hosts I've experienced, taking great care to make sure that guests have every possible convenience for an easy and comfortable stay. They provide many extras to make you feel welcome and at home. Really wonderful. I was not sure, before the stay, as to the autonomy and privacy of the space because it is part of a larger house. It is completely private and exceptionally quiet even though there are occupants up stairs. They use a different entrance and the house is extremely well-built and solid so there is no sense of having an upstairs neighbor.

While the exterior of the hotel shows its vintage, the rooms have been renovated in a minimalist style with a lot of thought given to just what you need. Staff that we saw were friendly (very few as COVID meant a lot of self service, understandable and better for all!). Evening meal was a half-pension, interesting fresh and nicely presented. The cold Buffet breakfast, has plenty of selection, and was self service due to COVID.
