Very cosy and traditional, building from 1840 with a perfect view on the lake and surrounding mountains. The restaurant was wonderful, serving only little choice, but that stuff was amazing. Also, staff and owner were really nice and helpful! It's in a rather quiet area which is however rather close to Geneva and Lausanne, Rolle close by offers a great choice of Bars and restaurants.

Extremely nice and friendly staff, surprisingly great food in a hotel restaurant (the venue is located in a small village), outside terrace and softest mattress possible (if you love them soft you will be on cloud 9). It´s people that make or break your hotel experience, not furniture - so even kind of humbly appearing venue at a first sight can make your stay worth of ***** ritzy experience. And the people in this hotel are amazing and you do feel welcome and appreciated. If I have an opportunity in future to come to this Swiss region again I will definitely pick Auberge Communale à l'Union again, without hesitation!

The photos in Booking.com show a good hotel but when we arrived we were delighted by the design of the room, very spacious and comfortable. The staff was super kind and accommodating, great breakfast, I would visit again the area just to stay at this hotel!
