What is not to like?! From the moment I booked this getaway, Ernest had been super engaged. We were looking to spend a few days quality family time with our parents away from the hustle bustle of Shanghai city life, Arcardia certainly delivered! The entire team provided top notch services. We were taken well care of by the private driver both ways; from the moment we arrived, Terry, the head manager provided butler service daily, we received excellent local advice to be able to visit some beautiful sites and due to my parents' old age and ability to walk, we also did a fantastic pottery making private class in the nearby town, they enjoyed it so much. The food Arcadia offered was top notch as well, chef Leo worked wonders daily. We were pampered with both delicioius Western and Chinese cuisines and they were gourmet style and beautifully presented. The site ... i mean, you will have to see it for yourself, the picture does not do its justice. The pool is hugged by a vast land of mountains covered by greens, the path to the property is full of tall bamboo plants, charming to say the least. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. My parents were given a ground level room to accomodate their mobility, and we had a top floor room with a balcony and "the" view. Our vacation was 10/10 and would love to be able to return another time with friends. Thank you Ernest and team for the magical memory for our family.

This place feels not like in China, it feels like you are somewhere abroad. It’s super cozy, quite and fascinating. The hosts are super nice and welcoming couple, whatever we needed they were happy to provide. Really excellent service. And most important they are genuinely kind people. We will definitely come back again.

Great place for a gateway. Located at the bottom of the mountain park you are near the touristic village down the mountain (not up the top that is more remote and more natural). It's a family run BnB they are very good at welcoming, and they even shared their diner with us as we came in low season and were the only guest in the villa, that has 9 bedroom in total. It got cold at night (5 degree outdoor) but they provided us with extra heater for the temperature, and extra lighting to get a more cosy vibe in the room. Sky glass ceiling and waking up with view on the mountain was breathtaking. The common room have music, bar and billard to play. Chimney too but wasn't available this time because not clean.

It's the personal touch that made our stay at Little Forest exceptional. The terrace behind our room was nestled in a grove of mature bamboo which felt idyllic and peaceful. And the daily breakfast, excellent coffee, and morning walks alongside the river made this a nice getaway for us. My wife is learning to play the guqin and practices every day when we're at home, so what a nice surprise to find that there was a guqin on site (the owner is also learning to play the instrument) that my wife could continue her daily practice on. The owner was incredibly helpful, making daily activity suggestions and recommendations and even arranging for (and driving) us to swim in a nearby pool that was fed by mountain water. We hope to be back to visit Little Forest in the future; it's the type of guesthouse that feels like home.
