Absolutely WONDERFUL hotel! I stayed here with my fiance and we both loved it. The views of the sea, the sunset, the trees, etc. were breathtaking. The whole facility is beautifully built and landscaped, it really is a peaceful paradise. Our bed and our room were very comfortable, especially with a nice mini-split AC that kept it comfortable. Claudio, the manager, is one of the nicest and most helpful guys you'll ever meet -- he gave me his cell phone number and if I needed anything I could text and he'd respond immediately. He was so accommodating and helpful and knowledgeable, he made our stay that much better. We had such a wonderful stay here and really enjoyed the pool, especially at night. Marybutch was the perfect calm, quiet, peaceful vibe we were looking for, away from the madness of Montañita. 100% recommended! While you're here, try the excellent wood fire pizza at Pizzeria Horno y Mar as well.

What's not to love? This hostal is beautiful and located right by the beach with a perfect sunset every day. Owner and staff are super friendly and made sure I had all I needed. Gave me all the information about the area and places to visit, to eat and do laundry. I recommend everyone to stay here.

Comfortable bed, it was clean (even though there was a lot of old stains on sheets and towels, it was clean haha), location was good, just a 5-7 min walk downtown and to the beach, super quiet. There was a kitchen (or 3) that we could use to make breakfast or anything. Shower was amazing, hot water and super strong pressure, first time in Montañita I had this good shower (not even in super pricy hotels they have this good of a shower). Even though the place needs ALOT of renovation it was good for the money we paid. And if u looking for something cheap but Comfortable this place is it. Staff was super fun and helpful.
