The view off the balcony is wonderful. Hammocks are provided. The room is charming - all wood. It’s spacious & comfortable. The pool is almost an infinity pool & has a lovely view over the valley. Breakfast was delicious - fruit, eggs, bread, juice

I had stayed at a place earlier that was three times more expensive and farworse in every way. Everything at Hosteria Paraiso was great.

Very good breakfast. Close to everything but very quiet and secure.

Mario, our host, was incredibly helpful & has a great sense of humour. He graciously met us, gave us a full tour of the apartment & excellent information on local hiking. The apartment is very clean & wonderful. It’s big with a lot of attention to detail. The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything you could need. The main bedroom has a huge sliding door with a balcony - great for nightime breezes (it’s on the 2nd floor across from the police station with views into the mountains). It has built-in wood wardrobes - very elegant. The second bedroom (2 twin beds) also has large windows with views. The beds are comfortable with lots of pillows. The washroom is also fully equipped with soap, shampoo, bath matt, towels & lots of hot water. Wifi is good. The spacious living area has a selection of local maps & guides. There is a laundry as well as an amazing roof patio. It’s huge! It has a covered area with a mini-kitchen, comfortable couches & coffee tables & even a washroom with panoramic views. Vilcabamba is nestled in the mountains so you can see both the town as well as the mountains all around. There is on-site, secure parking. Every detail has been addressed - there’s even a first aide cabinet in the apartment as well as a USB charging cord, in case you forgot. It doesn’t get any better!

It is one of the cleanest and most healthy hostels in Vilcabamba. The decore is a combination of sophisticated and fun. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had wonderful appliances. The quality of the floors, the tiles, everything very high quality. And it is right in the center of town, so a great location. Finally the owner and manager are both super kind and easy going.

Very beautiful, cozy and comfortable hostel! Lots of nice details and human touch! Would definitely stay again!

This is not a fair review as the host had an accident the day of our visit and was apparently in the hospital for several days. After repeated WhatsApp calls for help because he did not meet us to let us in we finally found another hotel in town for a higher price. We finally got a communication from the host who was stuck in the hospital an hour away for several days days and an apology. So no one’s fault and he doesn’t deserve a bad review just because we had a bad experience!
