When the only restaurant in town did not open as expected, and the only boulangerie had just closed for the day, we had no place to go but return to our room. The hosts noticed that we came back (from supposed dinner) too soon and asked if we had dinner. They offered to prepare dinner for us when they learned about what happened. We had a delicious dinner and paid them for the meal with great appreciation. Oh, another thing, it is very comforting to enter the room and find bottles of water and various kind of tea and snacks available after a long day of walking on Via Francigena!

The people and the ‘champagne’ experience

We were three generations of a family staying together and there was plenty of space. The property has been fully renovated to a high standard and was very comfortable. The dining area was well equipped with glasses and plates etc. The children loved seeing the horses in the stables across the courtyard. The location is great for exploring the champagne region although you probably do need a car to do this. We enjoyed visiting Épernay and doing a tour of a champagne house and visiting Reims cathedral on another day. The Pierre Monnaie champagne was wonderful too!

Spacious, light-filled apartment, freshly renovated with well-equipped kitchen. Excellent location for doing lots of champagne tasting in nearby villages, or for taking shady walks in the forests of the Mountain of Reims.

A beautiful B&B in a little village right in the Champagne area. Lovely room, great breakfast, very nice owners. They did make an exception for us as we didn't make it in time for check in. Perfect, can't recommend enough!
