This is the place to stay if you are looking for genuine ' French Period' chic. The old family house has been beautifully done up and you are right in the middle of the town square in the charming small village of Galan, the hosts are very thoughtful and kind and the breakfast served outside is second to none. Definitely recommend over the other Le Clos, which I have also recently stayed at (unless having a swimming pool is important to you). There are 3 restaurants (one of which is a 3 Star Michelin) all within walking distance of your B and B.

It’s a very tranquil and calm place to stay. Heather (the gite owner) lives on-site but totally respects your privacy. Should you have any questions about the gite or local attractions etc, then you only have to ask, and she will go out of her way to kindly help answer your questions.

Maison de Haouret exceeded all expectations. The property is spacious and very tastefully decorated. Our rooms were a really good size, with comfy beds and en suites. The use of a kitchen, living room and dining room downstairs, along with a lovely clean pool was great. Not only that, James and Lu are attentive hosts, great cooks and lovely people.
