My wife and I stayed here for a week in June 2022 and were given a lovely welcome by the host who gave us a tour of the house. We were lucky enough to have some good weather during our stay so had plenty of use of the amazing outdoor swimming pool, which was beautifully clean and clear and the hosts ran the robot cleaner on the base of the pool a couple of times during our stay. In June the sun position puts the pool area in sun all day, so if you enjoy getting a tan this is the place for you! I think it would be the same across all the summer. The location is also great for exploring the local area. The river dordogne is within 1km walk and really pretty villages of Loubressac and Carrennac are within a few minutes drive from the accommodation. I’d recommend the little shop in Loubressac for pastries and bread - though the stock sells fast so be prepared to get there early in the morning! In terms of facilities at the house, there is a BBQ which we used and was great, three good sized bedrooms (one of which has its own shower and sink) with multiple beds in the upstairs bedrooms, two toilets, two showers, TV, good kitchen and enough crockery in the cupboards to invite a nearby village round for dinner! ;-) Overall, it’s a perfect place to stay with a family in a great location to explore the local attractions or just spend time by the pool in tranquility. We would love to return with our families one day. Thank you for a wonderful stay! :-)

Wonderful stay. Bruce was so helpful in getting us acquainted with the area, identifying a wonderful restaurant for us and places to visit. He is terribly knowledgeable about the area and learned so much. The view from the outside patio, where we had breakfast (delicious!), was exceptional…looked like a postcard and was jaw droppingly beautiful. We highly recommend the Manoir and will be back!

The place was spacious, stylish and well equipped for the 5 days we were there. The house was filled with antique furniture, paintings, old books/ magazines and charme of times gone by, yet also had the convenience of new houses like dish washer, induction stove, modern heating, TV and internet. We couldn‘t have asked for a more central location - the boulangerie, market and bars were all right next door. Bretenoux is definitely worth checking out and there are lots of picturesque villages nearby. We would love to come back for a longer stay.
