We live in ireland and travel over to the uk 4/5 times every year to visit family and tend to always stay in the big chains, but we came across the dog house online that had vacancies so we booked. So glad we did, the staff could not do enough for us, so friendly and welcoming especially simon. We will definitely book there again

Lovely friendly staff. I never asked for a “quiet room” but I did ask for a room on the top floor and was given a lovely room. Rooms are lovely and spacious with big windows and room temperature can be adjusted as required Excellent value for money!

Lovely situation by the river, warm and comfy but not too hot. Good breakfast, great staff.

The staff and the breakfast were exceptional. The hotel is very conveniently located, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Varied breakfast options off the menu plus a wide continental breakfast spread. Room was spacious and well appointed. Well priced compared with other hotels close to centre.

Location of the property was great and parking was not ever an issue The apartment had plenty of space and was lovely and warm when I arrived.

The property was in a great location and very comfortable. The bus stopped right outside so we were able to go into Oxford and not have to worry about parking. Shopping centres not far and the Pub was great. Our hosts were very helpful.

We had a truly delightful stay at this charming cottage near Oxford and cannot recommend it highly enough. The host was exceptionally kind and attentive, welcoming us with a thoughtful box of treats and lovely extras that made us feel immediately at home. That level of care really set this stay apart. The cottage, while modest in size, is extremely comfortable and very well designed. We stayed as two families with three children and the space worked perfectly. The kitchen is spacious, well equipped, and a real highlight — we used it often and even cooked our Christmas meal there with ease. An extra frying pan would be a nice addition, but overall everything one could need was provided. The bathrooms were spotless, spacious, and easy to manage. Although there is only one toilet, this never posed an issue thanks to the excellent layout. The shower was particularly comfortable, with plenty of hot water. The bedrooms were generous and very comfortable, and the cottage itself is beautifully maintained, full of character, and wonderfully picturesque. The traditional wood, cosy interiors, and overall atmosphere truly make you feel immersed in the English countryside. A charming home, a wonderful host, and a genuinely memorable stay.

Its great to have a garden to sit outside and the neighbourhood is nice and quiet, extra special there was a nest of blackbirds up on the roof and see the parents flying in and out with food was a treat!

Location. Everything was good value for money. Didn't try the menu but the amount of customers spoke for its popularity. Staff very friendly. Hotel very attractive. Room although 'snug' had everything in it you would need.

The flat was a wonderful place to stay while I was working in the area.

It is in a great setting on a farm. The property itself was immaculate and clean. We had a sincere, warm welcome from the owners and family. After a long journey it was much appreciated. Speaking of warmth, underfloor heating with good thermostat controls meant it was toasty inside. Everything needed for a pleasant stay was there, which meant no need to shop for any basics, so we could instantly relax. Our dog was very welcome with a bowl and towel ready to use. Walks from the property to the river (Thames) were regular features of the days. We loved our stay for a wintry week of ice and cold rain.
