The location was perfect, close to pubs, resturants, a theatre and shops, but in a rural location with lovely gardens. We loved watching the ex battery hens enjoying their freedom, I read that others complained about the chickens coming in the house in the summer, I saw that the owners have addressed this problem by supplying panels to prevent this in the future, The hosts were there if we needed them, but we didn't feel that we were being watched! The cottage was cosy and every need catered for. It was very clean and the bedding and towels were of a high standard. Our grandaughter enjoyed playing with the chickens, the dog and the cat, the latter enjoying a game of catch the small balls rolling along the ground and chasing a string. She also enjoyed the tree swing and the freedom in the safe garden.

We liked absolutely everything - the cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated, nature around is amazing - we saw deers, bunnies, squirrels. Green views around all the windows at the house. Chuck and Janey are an amazing couple, very kind and welcoming. With Chuck we had very interesting and informative converstions about the history of the place and some towns around. In addition we had a pleasant welcoming kit waiting for us- eggs, bread, butter, milk etc.. P.S It was very fun feeding the ducks with the help of Chuck in the pond.

Lovely atmosphere. Flexible and helpful staff. Enjoyed breakfast, delicious home made granola, yoghurt and berry compote. A bed you don't want to leave.
