Very friendly hosts, cozy air-conditioned apartment with everything you might need at hand including a washing machine, a fridge, wifi and a smartTV with YouTube. Parking is just at the door and the road from the house to the sea is breathtaking. Several beaches and lake Kournas are within 20 minutes by car. Seitan limani is about an hour by car, Elafonisi is less than two hours - and these are one of the best beaches to go in the western side of Crete. We really enjoyed our stay at the villa located in this quiet village. It was very hot in Crete during our stay, and as the villa is a bit higher up in the mountains than sea-level, temperatures were milder as well; 38°C actually felt good. The host wished us welcome with fresh cake, raki, local wine and olive oil and made us feel very welcome from the start to the end. They answered swiftly and even checked up with us how we where doing during the stay. The villa is well located for exploration of Chania and Rethymno. We loved Kalami beach ;-) The sound of sicades was distanced enough to be enjoyable and in the evenings sirisses and crickets song their calm tune. The church nearby sounds the hours and the half hours and was very charming.

The wonderful hosts were very kind and generous, cooking a meal for our arrival and showing us round carefully. The location was super with beautiful views of the nearby village and white mountains, perfect for local walks and exploring. The pool was a great size and the outdoor area was very pretty.

Wonderful spot that is slightly off the beaten track.... Tucked into an olive grove, you get an amazing view of the White Mountains while lounging at the pool and on the balcony... Would strongly recommend to anyone who needs a bit more space and doesn't want to stay in a hotel!
