This was the perfect stop as we made our way west through Ireland. The place had everything we needed—very comfy, well-equipped, and a great spot to rest and recharge along the journey. Plenty of space to relax. We couldn’t have asked for a better stopover. Highly recommend!

The location, hosts, amenities, breakfast, and all was excellent. We stayed here on our last night before heading into Dublin to close out our trip. This was easily the best place we stayed.

On the West bank of the River Shannon, Shannonside House is set within large, private gardens. Guests can enjoy home cooking and free parking, and Athlone's center is a 5-minute walk away.
