After a family friends passing we where called to Galway - we wanted somewhere close to the event as possible and found this beautiful little B&B. Doris was more than accommodating when it came to late check in and early check out - we got a lovely breakfast served along with a story of how the building was built and how old etc it was.. we do hope to return one day on better terms and thank both Doris & her husband and the staff for making our quick trip FANTASTIC :)

We can't fault anything about St John's B and B. The house is in a lovely area surrounded by a beautiful wood and only 15 minutes from Athlone. Our room was clean and comfortable. We received a warm welcome with tea and buns. We got a lovely and plentiful breakfast the next morning. Marie is a lovely down to earth woman who couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

It is a wonderful area perfect if you want to explore the middle of the Landes with a rental car. The family is extremely friendly and loving. They know a lot about the country and are happy to give tips on what is worth seeing. the breakfast is wonderful very tasty. the animals on the farm are adorable and you can pet them. Really all very recommendable.
