A beautiful property so calm and quiet yet so close to the bustle of Darjeeling. It’s an oasis. The owners and staff are so friendly and couldn’t be more welcoming. As soon as I arrived I felt like an old friend who had stayed here many times before. Delicious fresh food everyday. Meeting many of the guest who gather around the fire every night.

The breakfast was undoubtedly the most amazing spread. It was buffet style but they had a dedicated omelet chef. They also tried to make sure that we, as Americans, always had choices that made us feel at home. The inn is owned by Buddhist monks and the profit goes straight to schools, helping in the Tibetan refugee camp and other charitable works. This is a really special place with special people working there.

Peaceful, serene and magical stay at Darjeeling Burdwan Palace Royal Heritage! This 250-year-old gem with a marvellous blue dome structure blends royal charm with modern comfort. My room was huge, beautifully furnished with antique pieces, offering stunning mountain views, vast gardens, and impeccable hospitality with a lot of fun filled activities. The food was awesome too -truly unforgettable!! Highly recommended for families and solo traveller.

The hosts were sweet enough to guide us through out the stay with multiple calls - to reach the location, get a taxi, breakfast/dinner, parking space. Also kind gesture of delivering food to the room, instead of dining area. They were helpful to carry our luggage up the stairs. PS: Not to complaint on the property or the hosts Only downside of this stay was, there's no direct road access. You'll have to climb up 3-4 floors of stairs from main road.
