Hotels with Parking in Selfoss

We loved our room looking out over the rushing river. Very peaceful at night with a very comfy bed and pillows. Lighting in the room was great. So many hotels — even the expensive ones— are so poorly lit you cannot see in the bathroom mirrors or the sleeping area. The breakfast offered good options and the front desk was extremely kind to offer us a brown bag breakfast the morning we had to leave super early before the restaurant opened. Great restaurant just across the street called Krisp.

-the crew was really friendly, easy going and willing to help (we had to book after a problem with another booking) -the geographic situation -the room was really confortable -the buffet for breakfast is amazing

Perfect dome- high end bedroom space, fireplace thats easy and cozy to use, beautiful kitchenette/dining area, and clean modern bathroom/shower all within dome. Overall, exactly what I expected from glamping. The only thing is that if you keep the curtain open, you are about 15-20m from other Domes and hence will need to close curtains for full privacy. Super peaceful and luxe, would love to come again for longer romantic/relaxing stay. Also close to Selfoss small town 10 mins so very easy to get to.

The hotel was incredibly welcoming and beautiful. It was in the middle of the Icelandic nature which in itself was gorgeous. We loved the homey feel to the hotel, with communal parts being shared, which was a unique touch. The room was gorgeous and the staff was lovely. We even saw the northern lights!

Everything was ok. Excellent breakfast!

The staff is friendly and helpful. The electric stove suddenly not working when we tried to cook our dinner. The staff immediately responds to our call and fix it. We enjoyed our stay here and definitely will come back here if travel in Iceland in future!

The room was comfy and the WCs were very clean, kitchen and sitting area was also neat and spacious. And !!! the staff were super nice :) They helpled us with many things that we needed. Thank you!

We left very early and asked for a take away breakfast, the breakfast provided for us was outstanding and so much more than expected!

Place was really clean and nicely set up. When we arrived staff upgraded our room free of charge. Even let us park the car right next to the enterance since we had to set it up for longer trip. Hot tubs were really nice touch and these were free of charge. Overall hotel was very clean and staff was very polite

The hotel was well situated in terms of wanting to see touristic spots. It has restauranrs near of it, supermarkets and petrol stations. Beds are comfortable and the room is very clean and spacious. I had asked for a kettle and they didn't have any problem in providing one, which we really appreciate.

The location, facilities, and the way the accommodation made you feel was absolutely exceptional. The room was beautifully clean with a pleasant smell. The hosts are very nice people who go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable and have everything they need. Definitely recommend with all ten and looking forward to the summer 😉.

It was very clean, spacious and modern.

Lovely flat - clean, modern and comfortable. Hosts extremely communicative and were incredibly helpful when we had to stay an extra night due to a storm closing the ring road.

Exceptional, everything was like new, very modern and clean apartment with everything you need to cook and clean your clothes. Well located and public parking downstairs for a relatively low cost.

I booked this accommodation at the very last minute due to bad weather cancelling ferries out to my planned destination. Communications were great, and the host was incredibly gracious and accommodating. The apartment is well furnished, very comfortable, and a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights to visit the Selfoss area and the Golden Circle. It is in a quiet location but, with shops, supermarkets and restaurants on the doorstep. I would stay here again.

We can truly recommend Hotel Thoristun, both for single nights and as a base for trips in the surrounding area. The room was clean and nice, and had exactly the equipment we needed to stay there for several days.
