We stayed at La Papessa as a family with 4 young children. The house was clean and comfortable with all the necessary equipment. The agriturismo has a good list of facilities (Tennis court, table tennis, swimming pool - renovated in May 2023, large BBQ area). It is also possible to have a tour and wine tasting at the property. Location is very convenient as it is closed to Florence, San Gimignano, Siena and several other charming Chianti villages. San Donato village has a small grocery store, a pharmacy and a few restaurants. Large supermarket is 15km away.

The warm, attentive hosts were certainly a plus and the grounds are beautiful, as are the views.

We enjoyed our stay a lot! The host Elisa was very nice and helpful, she recommended an excellent vinery and a restaurant nearby. The house is excellent, true Tuscany style, well-decorated with a lot of attention to the smallest details. There is a spacious living room on the ground floor with a small terrace, the rooms on the first floor overlook olive groves and the views are just breathtaking. Highly recommended!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Le Filigare. From the breathtaking location, to the charm and the privacy of our apartment, all topped off with a warm welcome from Claudia, we could not have asked for a better start to our Italian vacation. The pool is awesome as well, and we much enjoyed it after long days spent visiting Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the Tuscan villages. A quick dip and a glass of Chianti at sunset while enjoying stunning views is all you need to recharge for the next day. Thank you Claudia, Alessandro and the Le Filigare staff for providing us with such a great stay. We hope to come back one day, and enjoy your beautiful estate for even a longer time.

Perfect location to explore the surrounding area. The apartments are very well equipped and clean. Owner Giada is a wonderful host. She and her family are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place and for sure would go back!!! thank you for making our stay a super special one!!!

Beautiful house, so quiet. Lovely pub across the road. The only bad thing about San donato is no taxis so beware.

Small apartment in a very cute village in the Tuscan hills, the host was very kind and accommodating, fully furnished if you want to cook, with a supermarket at 5min walk and 2 restaurants within walking distance in the village. Perfect place to stop overnight when hiking the via romea!
