The best three nights and four day stay ever. The family that owns this great place are amazing people. You feel like you are visiting friends. During our stay, we made washi paper, visited a knife making village and a world-class ceramic museum, and purchased local artisan pieces. All of these activities were within 20 minutes of the Hideaway Tabaki. We went to a local sushi place that needs to be a Michelin star restaurant called O-edot. It was AMAZING. We feel like the Kondo-san family and Sakae-san are like family. Thanks for a great visit

We had such a wonderful long-term stay and felt incredibly welcomed by our host. He went above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations, help with dinner reservations, and even a lovely welcome BBQ that made our time in Echizen feel really special. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for an extended stay, which made it especially easy to settle in as a family. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we’ll remember our stay very fondly.
