I liked how enthusiastic and patient the front desk agent was. He urged us all to take pictures of ourselves in the rooms (which salad I forgot to do) and explained carefully where everything was. Then he quickly came and switched in our A/C when we couldn’t figure out the mechanism. Also a nice view of the hills.

We loved being able to spread out with a living room and kitchen. Modern appliances and a laundry we were able to use. We only used one bedroom but very comfortable!

Traditional ryokan with superb food, private onsen, and it is quiet at night. Best sleep of our trip. Hope to return one day. One night was not enough in this area.

Fukuyama train station is a few minutes away from the hotel. Family mart is almost right next to the hotel. There are so many affordable restaurants nearby. The room is very small, but very clean and comfortable to stay. All staffs were very helpful and friendly.

This hotel is absolutely excellent — the location, the facilities, and the staff are all amazing. There’s really nothing to complain about. The view of the castle from the bedroom is stunning. The room itself is spacious and includes a nice sitting area. Cleanliness is great, and the price is very reasonable. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options. There’s a welcome drink (alcoholic) available until 7:00 PM, and tea and coffee are available until late at night. If you’re coming here, I highly recommend this hotel.

Offering free Wi-Fi throughout, Fukuyama New Castle Hotel is located 1 minutes’ walk from JR Fukujama Train Station.
