We ended up paying a bit extra to upgrade our room. Large comfortable bed and pillows. Good spacious bathroom and shower with hot water. Use of a sitting area adjacent the room. We had a great Sri Lankan dinner with lots of different dishes as well. Good breakfast though spicy.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Haputale. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by breathtaking greenery, peaceful nature, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is beautifully maintained, the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped. What made our experience especially memorable was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Every member of the team was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. We would like to give a special thank you to Sampath, the General Manager, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made a huge difference and reflected the high standards of the hotel. The food was also outstanding—every meal was delicious and prepared with great care. Waking up surrounded by the forest and enjoying such a peaceful environment was exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Haputale who is looking for comfort, tranquility, beautiful scenery, and exceptional service. We would happily choose to stay here again and hope to return in the future. Thank you to Sampath and the entire team for making our stay so special! ❤️

Amazing view in the middle of the tea plantation. 3 km away from centre of Haputale. Host was really helpful and arranged transportation for us to hike a section of the Pekoe trail. Extra blanket provided for the cooler nights. We had one dinner and one breakfast and both were delicious!

Our stay was absolutely magical! The hospitality was outstanding. [Begum], sorry if I wrote it wrong, was incredibly welcoming and kind. Her behavior was absolutely exceptional, and she spoke English very well, which made everything so easy. It truly felt like a privilege to stay with her. One of the rare people who made us feel completely safe and cared for, without any pressure or intention to make money off us!!She always recommended the best options for our trips, ensuring we had the best experience. The food was delicious— Begum is an excellent cook, and I highly recommend trying her meals! The room was clean, with a comfortable bed. Our private shower was just across our room. Thank you so much for your kindness and outstanding hospitality.

The Capoe House is the most magical hotel experience I’ve ever had, the house and rooms are magnificent and so well decorated and we were hosted by Eranda, the manager and his team who made us feel like royalty! Eranda is an expert naturalist and made is discover the wonders of the nature surrounding us. Getting to the property in Eranda’s jeep was also an unforgettable experience! We cannot be thankful enough!

The view is sensational and Gamini, the manager is very kind and extremely helpful. He gave us ideas for walks and things to do and nothing was ever a bother. The rooms are really nice and extremely great value. Wish we could have stayed longer. This hotel and Haputale were a highlight.
