This property was in a beautiful setting! You feel very close to nature, with lots of trees, plants, birds. It is right on a lake. The owner, Anne, the manager, Amal, and each and every staff member were incredibly kind and professional. Our every need was met. We had full board, and the food exceeded our expectations! We were so full! There were lots of choices, but we had Sri Lankan food, it was just delicious! We had Tranquil book us two safaris, and we loved them! We didn’t see leopards, but another group did the same day we went out. We saw plenty of wildlife. A bonus was the fresh, clean pool for a morning or afternoon swim, with chairs to relax in the sun or shade. Thank you, Tranquil, for your hospitality. We’ll be back! We recommend this place and the park nearby, over the busier places.

EVERYTHING! Can't stop saying nice things about this property and the owner. The cleanest rooms, welcoming owner, the dinner they serve is also amazing and richer than the restaurants offer. He also has bikes you can borrow to stroll around the lakes, he offers you tea and coffee during the day, he lends you binoculars...one evening they spotted this cute owl near the property and he called us if we wanted to come see it...just soooo attentive, I wish we could stay there longer! Oh and the driver he recommended for the Yala safari was also great.

Sunithra and her family are the kindest people you’ll meet. They made sure I am comfortable, cooked breakfast and dinner, and helped me with all the logistics. The room was exceptionally clean, and I loved the patios around the house.

Randy and his family were amazing host, the friendliest you can ever find in Sri Lanka, always willing to help and give attention. Food (both breakfast and dinner) were really tasty. Randy took us on his motorbike to visit the amazing landscape and lake around. We felt good from the very beginning and felt sad to leave such great people and souls.

This place has a nice view of the lake, and you can spot many animals without even going out! They offer a menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with very delicious options. I liked all the food I tried. Some of the juices are made with fresh fruits from their own garden. The staff can help you arrange the safari to Yala National Park and other tours if you need it. And there's a tuk-tuk available for going places for a reasonable price. The place belongs to and is run by a local family. They were very kind to me personally. :)

The posh hotel is in a beautiful location, though it is a little far from Yala Reserve. It has great facilities, an amazing pool, a rooftop bar, a pool table, a karaoke room, and a spa. The spacious rooms have a garden balcony that leads to the pool area.
