Very clean. Staff was excellent! Food and coffee in the restaurant was great. The grounds were immaculate, a beautiful foreground for the absolutely stunning view of the volcano available from each and every room.

Terry was wonderful! Great to talk to and very helpful with many issues. Tasty food. We ate breakfast and dinner each day. Delicious smoothies. We were given an upgrade for the last four nights. I loved the atmosphere of the hostel. In the evening time they had candles everywhere and lights. It was so beautiful. They also have a lookout place where you can see the volcano during the day and stars at night time. It was a super quiet and chill place. They also had kitties which is a big bonus.

I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….

I loved everything about this hostel. The location, the colors, but especially the people. Juana and Annie went above and beyond to accommodate me during my stay. They helped answer questions, make recommendations, and made me feel most welcome. They all speak very good English which was appreciated as my Spanish is very bad. They helped me book day trips. They even walked with me around the town showing me some of their favorite spots. The room was clean and large and had a fan that worked really well. The breakfast and smoothies are wonderful. Great locations right by the ferry port. I recommend this hostel 100%

Free filtered water, good communal kitchen and fridge, location is close to everything but still quiet at night, nice chill out area with hammocks. A couple of rooms have the option for AC at an extra cost. The staff is wonderful. The facilities are cleaned exhaustively every day and everyone is super helpful with anything you may need. Recommended!

    It was a really affordable, clean and new hostel with friendly and helpful host. Great to have secure parking on the property, although perhaps in winter the rough track maybe would have been difficult with our small car. The room was really nice but very basic (perhaps a hook in the bathroom and a table to put things would have made it perfect). The kitchen was clean and had a lot of pans but it was missing some implements to cook with (spatulas etc). We had a really nice time there and appreciated all of Danilo's recommendations.
