To the right of the house there is a long pier, build so wisely as a bird lookout boardwalk to watch the amazing birds and view. The pier is decorated with a fishing net and a charming old anchor. There are also several boats which you can rent, a big BBQ fixture, and stunning boathouse that looks like and open museum with dozens of exhibits. Overall, the pier adds to the private waterfront of the house so much. And there is the house, that every inch of it built in a brilliant design, with the purpose of giving the feeling of a ship sailing in the sea – and it works so well. On the first floor there is a living room with a great sofa, several bedrooms with cozy spoiled beds and a selection of pillows, a kitchen with a table and majestic chairs, a splendid bath, and even a laundry room. But the best part is no doubt the outside deck in the shape of a ship prow and with comfortable chairs. Believe me: who has not seen this deck has never in his life seen a deck. An enormous terrace built on the water –literally. So that every time a boat is passing by, a wave is created in this paradise and shattered under the feet in the sound of bells. Stairs shaped like those of a ferry, lead to the second floor: and there, you simply refuse to believe you are not dreaming. Another luxurious and well-equipped kitchen, two well-equipped bedrooms, another huge seven-seater sofa, another armchair, another leather armchair, and a leather sofa. Lighting fixtures that give the feeling of a ship. And brilliants design such as lighthouse lanterns in different colors, ship helms hanging around the house, mirrors and pictures with various types of ship knots, ship's hatches fixed in the walls, and a clever placement of mirrors, which brings in the sea from every possible angle... But the eyes are drawn like a magnet to the huge transparent doors, to the sea and the islands, which from here look once again - completely different...

Very friendly host, she messaged a lot and helped us even without asking questions. The location is amazing, hard to reach, but once you are in you are in for a treat. The view and quiet area alone are already worth every krona.

Staff were wonderful, upgraded us after first room was missing a blind. Rooms were clean and well set up (full fridge and microwave). We took a hike and rented bikes to cycle around the island. Food in the restaurant was delicious and the chef catered for my vegetarian needs. The hotel bar is also a great place to spend an evening. Breakfast was delicious. Location is right next to the ferry from Bergen which was super easy to get given we didn't have a car. Would definitely return again!
