Wanda (the hostess) was very attentive and made sure we had whatever we needed. Her husband Karl was also helpful when needed. The 2 dogs they had were very friendly and they demanded a butt tax (butt scratch) every morning! Chez Karlito is a great local living experience. If you are expecting resort level facilities you should look elsewhere. If you are interested in staying and experiencing local culture and facilities with excellent service, then Chez Karlito is for you!

Very convenient which is close to the supermarket and a few minutes drive to the ferry dock. Very nice and clean unit. Everything looks new. The private beach is wonderful and very joyful to play canoe. I strongly recommend staying here.

Lovely lagoon just across the road. Kayaks were a real bonus. Great unit with all amenities.

Met the property manager when we arrived and got the keys directly from her. The sand, beach and water are awesome. We spent hours snorkeling. Every day. We would leave to hike, eat and scuba dive. Then return to the property to enjoy the breeze, water, stars, coconuts, star fruit, kayaks, warm nights, ... Yes. We found it to be excellent. Hands down. Excellent.

Max and Julie were amazing. Overall very clean, max was the best part about it all. He is so awesome. He made sure if needed anything he got it. He for sure was the best part! Their children are beautiful! The place is amazing. Highly recommend

What a gem of a place! Our stay was very comfortable. The pool was a plunge pool, but was great. There is a kayak and stand-up board for use - the beach is literally minutes away, across the road. It is gated, and check in was easy - you retrieve the keys from a key lockbox. It has a gas stove top (you have to light the gas stove). There is only air conditioning in the rooms, not the lounge/kitchen, but that was fine. There is a fan for use in there. I was grateful for the desk in my room as I did do some work and it was convenient. We enjoyed staying at this place. Will stay again if we have another opportunity to visit Mo'orea!

Max was an incredible host with a beautiful home. I am a solo traveler and max and the other guests were extremely welcoming despite me only speaking English. The location is nearby the beach and a hiking trail. Will 100% book again whenever I return.

Arii was so welcoming and supportive. The bungalow is in great conditions, perfect for a couple. It has everything you might need to spend a memorable time in Moorea, as I did.

It was super cool staying in a bus and we loved the outdoor kitchen and just the overall novelty. AC was a great touch for sleeping at night.

I came by ferry and stayed 2 nights. I did not want to rent a car, so very convenient, as lodge is near pizza place, food truck, sailboat marina and main grocery store. There is a complete kitchen with full size range, oven, refrigerator, sink for the 3 units to use. Nice covered picnic table The owner was fantastic, and even offered to drive me back to the ferry, as it was a Saturday and had the day off work.

Absolutely lovely apartment. The interior was new, everything was spotless clean, and the kitchen was well equipped and even had a coffee machine. There were drinks and water in the fridge for us. Beautiful terrace with large fridge. Washing machine with washing detergent just outside the bungalow. We asked to check in already at noon and were allowed to do so. The owners made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

We loved the location near the port of Moorea. The fare feels like it is situated in the middle of a botanical garden, surrounded by lush vegetation and with great views of the mountains. The fare offers great comfort, with a well stocked kitchenette, a dining table, a large bathroom, and a comfortable king-size bed. The accommodation is very open, and despite not having A/C, the room has a large standing fan that keeps the room cool day and night. Murielle is a very kind and generous host, she made us feel at home. Murielle and family own two lovely and very friendly dogs.

Super unique property set in the lush forest, walkable to the great beach that the Sofitel is on (up the road a bit), wonderful Polynesian hospitality on ancestral land, an opportunity to enjoy local food that you cannot get in the food trucks, and a real feeling of warmth and helpfulness. The beds are great, the property is super quiet (unlike many other places are right along the road on Moorea) so you will sleep well. Oh and there is a private hike right at the property that leads to an incredible mountain viewpoint of the two bays. A big thank you to Vai and her family for welcoming me. It is right on the water with stunning views

Very sweet property with four bungalows right on the lagoon. The continental breakfast was lovely and the proprietors were very kind and helpful.

We went there for our honeymoon and they clearly made our stay a fairytale! From the staff to the location and the overwater bungalow everything was perfect! Thank you so much for the extra touch to make is feel very special ! 🥰🥰

A waterfront bungalow with a deck? We absolutely loved it. We wanted a waterfront experience without paying the crazy high prices of an overwater bungalow, and this was an awesome option for a good price! I don't really understand the negative reviews of this place. If you read the description and listen to the check-in instructions upon your arrival, everything is made super clear! Yes, it's by the road, as are most of the houses and hotels on this island since the road follows the coastline. Yes, there are some bugs, but that's what's to be expected when you're staying on a tropical island. No, there's no beach (as you can see in the photos), and there really only are a couple of beaches on the entire island, but there's a dock you can swim off of and amazing snorkeling just outside your bedroom door. What more could you ask for? Our bed had a mosquito net and a fan kept us nice and cool in the evenings. The staff was incredibly kind and informed us of the meal times upon our arrival. Most of the island follows those same meal times too. I highly recommend!
